Whats your preferred method for sealing braids?

Whenever i have braids i usually just burn the ends to seal them since i havent had too much success with the dipping method.

I like sealing with hot water. I think it looks better that way.

I agree! If you boil water on the stove, pour a few drops of baby oil or African Pride oil in while it's boiling, dip your ends in and slide a towel down the braids to soak up the water, your braids should seal very nice!

Also, you can try flat ironing the ends. I've seen several ladies to this and their braids looked awesome! :)

I use pony hair most of the time; basically the braider ties a small knot at the end of each braid to avoid unraveling. If I'm using synthetic hair, I have them dip my hair in boiling hot water to seal the braid. The same for human hair.

You dip human hair in hot water too? How? Why? Do the braids not unravel from the bottom if you dip the bottom? Please explain because this is news to me! TIA
