Question for Puritan Pride (biotin) users

I went to the website and I'm trying to find the Biotin in 5mg form. The website only sells (300 mcg.) and (1000 mcg.) tablets.

Hi Crysdon,

The highest they go is 1,000mcg. You have to take five of these 1mcg tablets to = 5mg. I'm telling you, as far as growth is concerned, it works like nobody's business for me /images/graemlins/grin.gif I actually had to ask Jade did she too experience a tingling effect after she took it. I was wondering if it was just my imagination. I have the distinct feeling that you can actually feel something coming thru those follicles and she said she had that same sensation as well /images/graemlins/up.gif So I was more than pleased to know that it wasn't just my imagination running away with me /images/graemlins/drunk.gif.

Oh. So how do you split up the tablets? I'm guessing 2 in the morning 2 after lunch and 1 before bedtime. Thanks for answering my questions...my credit card is itching in my hand and I'm ready to order.

Crysdon,

Amethyst and I have indeed had some words together about the Puritan's Pride biotin /images/graemlins/grin.gif As she indicated, "it works like nobody's business." It is extremely potent!

The biotin is water-soluble and, as a rule, division of the dose is recommended, but you can manipulate how you take it to achieve your best results. It's a just a question of individuality here. Lately, I've been taking those 5 tabs all in the morning and my results have been great. It was getting to a point where it was just easier 'cause it's not like taking a single cap or tablet, say with the Country Life.

Please let us know how the PP biotin works out for you.

In terms of sales, PP's most recent sale will be ending March 8. However, something tells me they may be doing one of those better sales of the buy 1, get 2 free or some variation. So, if you are pleased, keep an eye out for this one coming /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers,

Jade

Question Jade. How does the PP compare to the vitamin shoppe's 5mg capsule. Isn't all biotin the same? I'm asking cause I just bought these a few weeks ago and I wanna make sure I'm not taking them in vain. Maybe when I'm done with these I can switch to the PP. also, how do you know if one brand works better than another. Is it from trial and error, or is there another way to tell. TIA! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi, Armyqt!

I never went near the Vitamin Shoppe's 5mg biotin caps after Carrot posted how ineffective they were for her. Someone else did the same, too a bit later and I never ventured to try these. With the vast majority of VS products I've tried, I have not liked for ME...very ineffective. I have to say their broccoli caps are superior..have been taking these in place of Nature's Herbs for the past 2 months and have been most pleased.

In answer to the other part of your question, some of it is trial and error, but I can usually tell by what I see and feel. With me with most supplements, I can tell fairly soon. With good biotin, I can tell by how my scalp feels (Amethyst's words "the tingles") and by my nails. With PP, it's like my nails grow overnight...extremely fast and utterly gorgeous.

It's like I told Amethyst. I was extremely pleased being able to buy Puritan's Pride biotin for a great price and in volume and then one day what I noticed it was not the same. I never bought anymore for about a year's time. When I tried again after some of their products had improved in a major way, the "old" biotin was back.

Thanks Jade! Looks like I'll be switching to PP soon. I really do like the convenience of taking just 1 capsule though. Guess it's no point if they're not working well. Maybe I can take 2 caps per day, so I can finish them off quicker. whatcha think? thanks aain for the info. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
