Question about using henna to condition hair

For those that henna hair for conditioning purposes only (not for coloring), how often do you henna--weekly, monthly, etc? How long do you leave henna in your hair? How long have you been using it to condition your hair and did it make a difference in terms of the health of your hair. Thanks.

--I henna twice a month at least.
--I leave it in for 1-3 hrs-->although when you first start it'd be better to leave it in for an hour.
--I've been using it for 6 months roughly. I don't have breakage and I don't have to use protein treatments. I have a nice reddish tint that looks great in the sunlight. My hair was very soft...the first few times (afterwards). Now I think my hair as gotten used to it. Or it could be my mixture. I think I use too much amla powder. I'm still experimenting.
