ORS CARROT OIL--Doesn't seem to moisturize enough, but I didn't read the label closely enough because I don't think moisture is its main purpose. I can use in on my kids' hair sometimes, and I may try mixing it with a little castor oil to use it up faster.
VO5 SHAMPOO--used to use the stuff in college but now I know it is too stripping
INFUSIUM 23-- Pantene's spray leave-in is SO much better. Also I recently tried the Dark and Lovely Naturally Citrus Braid and Sheen Spray and you just can't beat that stuff for the softness it gives your hair
ELASTA QP SHAMPOO FOR RELAXED HAIR--didn't detangle as well as the CON. I may try their creme conditioning shampoo though.
NACIDIT AVOCADO CONDITIONER-- Did zip for my hair, and have to go quite out of my way to get it.

Oh forgot to add Aussie Hair Insurance. It's a spray leave-in. Doesn't seem to do much and I can live without the smell.

African Pride (or African something) Shea Butter and Tea Tree Oil Moisturizer

Any PROFECTIV product

Any curl activator type product

elasta qp mango butter.........love the smell hate the feel

kera care detangling shampoo..........creme of nature does the job just as well without the cost.

Keracare oil moisturizer with jojoba oil....This sh** was $7.99 and it's just a mess it leavews my hair feeling hard...elasta QP's recovery is only $2.69 and does a much better job. Keracare products are just a lot of hype and money..there are other great products out there for cheaper and does a better job.

HHB--- way to heavy for my hair
Sebastian Clear colorshine- waste of
censored.gif
$ did nothing at all but break my pockets

I will probably not be repurchasing keracare silken seal

Dont get me wrong, it is the BEST serum that i have ever used. However, i just dont need it like i thought i did. I find that my hair shines just as vibrantly with a few alterations in my conditioning routine (and with a good setting lotion)as it does with the serum. It is also too

EXPENSIVE!.

Elasta QP Remoisturizing Treatment- kinda gummy
Aphogee 2 minute- Nothing really wrong with it, I just like other products more!

anything Profective
any type of serum ( the ones I have tried have just sat on my hair)
any shampoo that is not CON

LeKair Cholesterol w/Aloe Vera (*Doesn't do anything for me)

NTM Conditioner (My hair and I just aren't that impressed)

Motions CPR Shampoo (I used to like it. Maybe after a break my hair will appreciate it, but not right now)

CON conditioner(I heard so many bad things about this, I ll use up the one I have but sparingly. I scared to use it)
Surge lotion motion 9( my hair was too oily after using this)
Africans best Kids Organics protien conditoner(made my hair hard and dry)
Africans best kids promade( too greasy)

SILICON MIX!!! That thing tangled my hair and left it sooo hard like nothing did b4 (well the lustrasilk shea butter cholest. did the same thing). I get more slip with my keraphix and THAT'S a protein conditioner!!!! All my good products didn't work to fix it. Lacio and NTM leave-in did nothing. Not even jojoba oil. So I decided to wash my hair with CON again to put moisture back. But guess what... NOTHING. My hair was STILL breaking BADLY. :crying3: So I had to go back into the shower for the umpteenth time that SAME day and clarify to get that crap outta my head!!... and then it was smooth sailing once again. :beach: Everything worked like it was supposed to and I could get my comb thru my hair with no problems b/c I decided not to any conditoner in my hair at all. Every conditoner (except for moisturefuse) leaves my hair tangled and dry and hard. I really wanted to like the silicon mix b/c everyone got smooth results and I am still seeking a good moisturizing conditoner, but my hair HATED me for putting that trash in my hair. I MIGHT try it another time after I get a chelating poo, but I feel like my hair hates mineral oil and will never like it.

Theres a lot of stuff I will be cutting out...not becasue it sucks, but because half the stuff I have now for my hair (protein conditoners, shampoo, leave in sprays) are no longer necessary.

Ms key super rinse

I agree with you about the Miss Key and the mango butter.

The 10 en 1 did not really do anything extraordinary. I have used comparable and better products.

The mango butter did not moisturize the way I prefer. some one here said that put JoJoba oil in it and that helped. It is an idea if can try if I ever feel bad about wasting the money on it.

Elasta QP Oil Recovery - my hair started off liking this then it turned on me
ORS Hair Mayo (yuk)
Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum - did nothing
Herbal Essences Cons. - my hair just hates them
Hennalucant - didn't work out
BB Oil Moisture - another one that started off good and turned on me
VO5 Blue/Cream & Straw/Cream - smells good but didn't do alot

Ok, I bumped this up this morning, so I feel obligated to add:

Miss Keys 10 en 1 and most Dominican conditioners -- I think people might be being fooled by their nice smell. Look at the ingredients, mostly mineral oil, petroleum, and a few moisturizing alcohols and parabens.

Jamaican Black Castor oil -- it smells and I dont feel that it gives any better results than regular castor oil

Herbal Essences - I am going to try to return two of the products I bought

S-Curl and any curl activator --

Kenra MC -- stopped working on my hair

Sedal Anti Sponge -- did not do much for my hair

Salerm 21, LACIO, LACIO -- all left my hair hard and brittle.

Basically, any leave in with Glycerin or protein high up on the list does not work for me.

When I read the ingredients in ms keys, I was going to put it back. I tried it and I am glad I did. It left my natural 4 something hair like cotton. It was so soft. It is definately a keeper.

What I have gained from reading this form is what works for you might be totally wrong for someone else. I have realized that curl defining products don work for me. I don't think I have any curls.

SCurl... definitely NOT... i do not see how this stuff "moisturized" my hair... if anything it felt harsh and dry as heck

NTM leave-in... despite the raves... nothing special, especially at the time when i had a lot of new growth

ORS carrot oil... what in the world is that???

HOllywood Beauty Cholesterol... did nothing but sit on the hair. the only time it worked was when I left it overnight, mixed with some ORS mayo

CON ultra-moisturizing shampoo... i prefer the regular one, this is too greasy! yuck
-------
These were the products i really didn't like... i have some other ones that were pretty good but I know i can find better like:
Rusk Smoother
ORS olive oil, gets oily after a while and is expensive, but i have to admit, it's pretty good
Infusium... i cut that out of my regimen for a while, will need to bring it back in a little bit.

ORS Hair Mayonnaise (left my hair heavy and weighed down w/ a nasty film)

Aphogee Treatment (my hair stays tangled and hard for weeks after the treatment)

NTM Daily Deep Conditioner- Ugh. Horrible stuff, that.  It made my hair as hard as a rock. I used it once and retired it to the deep, dark depths of my product closet. Considering the job it did on my hair, I'm sure i could use it to spackle siding on the house this spring.
