Cantu Shea Butter Leave In left my hair dry

V05 cheap conditioners. I tried a cowash with the strawberry milk one and I was so confused in the shower. My hair felt exactly the same. Not soft at all like a regular conditioner I'm use to using. I was like it can't get better if there's no kind of result.

:nono: no bueno V05

Another list since people have refreshed my memory:

Vo5 strawberries and cream (my hair would end up in clumps on the floor)

Vo5 kiwi lime clarifying conditioner (matted my hair something terrible)

Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner (left my hair dry)

Kinky Curly Knot Today (left my hair dry, did not help to detangle anything)

Shea Moisture Curling Souffle (matted the section of my hair I tested it on)

Flaxseed gel (same as shea moisture curling souffle)

Curl Junkie Deep Fix (had a terrible time detangling after rinsing out the conditioner, I think it was the honey on my wet tight texture that was quickly shrinking as I detangled)

Shea Moisture Shea Butter Leave in (old formula) (left my hair dry, had an unpleasant waxy feel while applying)

Scurl (left my hair greasy, coated and sticky)

Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong (really didn't have that much slip)

Giovanni Direct Leave In (left my hair dry and crunchy)

Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner (had no effect on my hair, as if I had used water)

Carol's Daughter ( I haven't tried a single thing from the line I truly like. The Monoi Rinse out conditioner was a nightmare on my hair. My hair was matted terribly. The Carol's daughter hair balm smelled far far too strong. I could not tolerate that fragrance.)

Organix shampoos and conditioners (the shampoos were stripping and the conditioners did nothing for my hair as far as moisturizing and softening)

Darcy's Pumpkin Seed Conditioner (had no slip on wet or dry hair, took forever to absorb into my hair when applied and did not retain moisture in my hair for that long after it was applied)

Taliah Waajid The Great Detangler (did not provide that much slip and wasn't good for much else, left behind a greasy residue)

Mane n tail detangling products (left my hair dry and did not detangle)

Sulfur (gives me scalp acne)

Oils applied directly to scalp (cause flaking and itching)

Straight Shea butter (leaves a waxy film I don't care for)

Terresentials (difficult to apply and rinse out)

Peppermint Oil. I will never in this lifetime use that oil again. You can use the smallest amount, mixed with a million oils and your eyes will still burn from use.

Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner. My natural hair hates this, but when I was relaxed it worked well for slicking my hair down.

Shea Butter (Lovely for my skin, but my hair doesn't care for a lot of it - small doses only)

Shea Moisture products (too heavy and drying)

Kinky Curly Knot Today (Nothing spectacular I couldn't get elsewhere)

Kinky curly did nothing for me.
Apple cider vinegar
Curl junkie
Curls
Henna
Jojoba oil
Coconut oil

I will continue to use what works for me

Esta Qp mango butter V05 conditioners... I can't even talk about it

Same for me V05. I turned my hair into coated tangled nest & it gave me a really bad skin reaction. I eyes were swollen up & my skin was itching. I had to rush to the pharmacy for Benadryl.

coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and shea butter (I can use products formulated with these items but I can't use them on their own.)

Chi Silk Infusion

Giovanni line

Salerm 21 (showing my lhcf age, you know the time before the curly girl method take over)

Cowashing

most sulfate free shampoos

shea moisture products

Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner

Oyin Shine and Define

Henna (takes all of the elasticity out of my hair and no amount of deep conditioner can put it back)

Herbal essence hello hydration (more like goodbye hydration)

almost the entire Hairveda line

Hairveda Sitrinillah Deep Conditioner (it was so bad I decided to list it by itself)

Coconut oil, olive oil, and Shea Butter on their own is a no-no,but mixed with other but most be lower on the list.

Sent from my SM-G900V using LHCF

Cantu shea butter
That stuff made my hair hard & caused me breakage. It also made white flakes in my hair

*anything Cantu..always leaves a film on my hair & leaves my hair feeling hard and dry
*vo5 conditioners
*Giovanni direct leave in..left my hair dry
*Joico products
*organix shampoo & conditiners..The shampoo strip my hair and the conditioners do absolutely nothing but make my hair feel ever drier..and the scents are too strong and smell bad to me

Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie. I remember everyone on YouTube was using it for styling and I couldn't find it anywhere in the Toronto area. I finally got it when I went to the States, used it on my hair and hated the way it made my hair feel. Mushy yet dry, I just gave out away :/

Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie...

I thought that would be the one for me, but it made my hair sticky, crunchy and dry.

Shea moisture's deep treatment masque broke me out horribly last week. Weirdly I used it a couple of years ago and don't recall any reaction so I'm not sure if it was because I kept it on too long, bought a bad batch or if they've changed the ingredients since I last tried it. My ears started itching and after rinsing my hair I noticed the tops of my ears were red and irritated. The next day, I was picking off dried flakes of skin from my ears. It was like a chemical burn. I'm not sure what that was about but I won't use it again.
Chi infrared treatment gave me sebhorric dermatitis. I pre treated with it a few times when I was flat ironing and ended up with a bald spot and a ton of flakes where the hair used to be. It took me months to get rid of the flakes and the hair is just now growing back there....smh. Won't use that again either.

S curl

Man I cannot STAND anything Cantu. That stuff is the worst!
Also, Elasta QP mango butter moisturizer, they re-did the formula or something cuz it's garbage for my hair now.

I think glycerin, 100%from CVS, is not for me. I'd been mixing it with water in a small spray bottle... Not sure tho, so I'll keep that to myself, for now.

There's so many products my hair hates. I jumped on several bandwagons and was disappointed about the following products:

Vo5 anything
Coconut oil
Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie
Ecostyler gel (unless I mix it my HG Beautiful Textures custard)
Kinky Curly anything (hate hate hate the custard on my hair now)
Aubrey Organics (tried one conditioner and I didn't notice any tremendous effect)
Curl Junkie Curl Rehab (I like it better as a leave in)
As I am anything
Wen 613 (I don't dislike it, but again, I saw no major effects)
Cantu Shea Butter Leave in
Tahlia Wajiid anything (except for the shine spray)

The products that work the best for me are mostly the ones no one really discusses or were discussed at one point but not anymore:
Paul Mitchell The Conditioner
Beautiful Textures Curling Custard
Camille Rose Curl Maker (most of her products, especially this one, do not play well with others)
Curl Solutions Curl Keeper
Shea moisture Cowash
Design Essentials Naturals Curl Enhancing Foam
Paul Mitchell Curls cream gels (Ultimate Waves and Twirl Around mixed together)

This thread has definitely curbed my PJism. I always thought my hair was just picky but some of these products just aren't worth it.

Curl Junkie Curl Rehab. $20 of lumpy rip off. It was as if I wash my hair and condition it with mashed potatoes. My hair felt so stiff like I sprayed starch in my hair.
