This stuff is the truth when it comes to sealing moisture in the hair, even better than my dear Vaseline . A little goes a very long way because it is designed to help maintain locks and I became a little overzealous in my application once (it required lots of clarifying shampoo) . I probably wouldn't use this if I had hair that was prone to form knots or tangle very badly. Otherwise, it makes your hair extremely soft and substantially reduces breakages. I've been pretty rough with my hair lately and after examining my ends, I counted all of 5 split ends and very little breakage. Anyone whose seen my previous post knows that my hair will literally split at the drop of a hat, so this is a pretty big improvement. My hair also hardly needs conditioner after washing with SLS shampoos, it's just that soft. It's also good for very defined braidouts
