my boxbraids are WWWAAAAYYYY too poofy for my liking. the person who did my hair said she can braid them all the way down and then crimp them but idk what that will looks like so im nervous, iv never seen anyone do that before :nono: does anyone have any pics of they have done it themselves, it would really help!

also for braid spray i mixed about a cup of olive oil and the rest of my favorite conditioner which was bout a cup and the rest water and shook it up. but for some reason my hair doesnt "feel" mositurized if that makes sense. is it not? am i used to heavier products or did put too much water? its a big bottle! (it was filled up with more water than this i just used a lot because like i said it didnt feel moisturizing

if you don't like the puffyness, you can roll the ends on perm rods and dip them in boiling hot water. Keep a towel around your neck so you don't burn your self.

it will give them a nice define curl

I like them, but I am a fan of big hair :)

I second this! You have options hun :yep: If you don't want tight curl use big magnetic rollers. What kind of hair is this? It looks like if you wet it and put some clear gel on the ends, braided it in sections and let it air dry or sit under the dryer you would get a more defined "braid out" kind of look. But that depends on the hair.

It'd be a cute style if it didn't just scream of a lot of work and headaches and damaged extension hair in the near future. If they were mine I'd have them braided to the end. Otherwise you're going to have one very tangled mess in time, especially if you're thinking of wetting it or applying stuff to it.

I have always braided my hair to the end. If it isn't human hair, I don't know about crimping it--if you're doing it with heat. You could use thread and hot water to create coils; you could do a braid-out to create waves; you could curl them and dip them in water to create ringlets. If they are human hair, you could use a curling iron on them too!
