With the relaxers, I want to do a little poll. Do you use lye or no lye and how long and what type is your hair. I think this will help answer alot of questions.

Lye no lye drama here we go.....

OK I voted No-Lye, brastrap or longer, even though I'm not QUITE at brastrap yet... I'm closer to brastrap than shoulder, so...

Lye. I did the same thing as Lindy. I am much closer to brastrap than I am to shoulderlength. So I'm a Lye:Brastrap and longer girl.

Did a retouch last night; loving the new relaxer! Yeah baby!
 
im lye just because i go to the shop to get my hair done and they use lye but when i use to get my hair relaxed at home..i still had to do mad work to take care of it. so i personally don't see the difference.

I'm a neck length or shorter girl who uses lye. However, my hair is longer than it ever was using no-lye. I switched to lye about a year ago, which is around the same time I joined to board. So I don't know if my hair is healthier because of switching to lye or because I'm just taking better care of it overall... Who knows?!?

Lye and shoulder length, headed toward bra-strap. It is my understanding that no-lye is not good for our hair and dries it out. When I used no-lye years ago, my natural hair color always oxidized and my hair was drier.
 
Ladies if your hair is longer then shoulder length please mark brastrap or longer thanks...Looks like lye and no lye is tied at brastrap or longer......Need more votes lets go ladies
