NOT RITGHT NOW, BUT I HAVE COLORED MY HAIR BEFORE. FIRST TIME, IT WAS OK. SECOND TIME MY HAIR WAS DAMAGE (I WASNT TAKING PROPER CARE)

I did a blonde haircolor in early October, and I liked it at first, but now that I have about 1/2" of new BLACK new growth coming in, I fear I;m starting to look "ghetto-tacky" but I cannot, will not do a BC, I did one back in September of 2006 and again in April of 2007 and I can't keep doing that to my hair! But I know in about two more months, I'm finna be looking tacky as heck :perplexed

yes, mine is colored oriental black by Bigen

no color..it has a natural brown black color, in some light it looks highlighted kind of coppery. the one and only time I colored was back in '97. I would love to try henna that you ladies rave about here.

I've been rinsing my hair jet black for years. Never had permanent color though, I have seen too many horror stories. Besides I think the jet black makes me look exotic:rolleyes:

I just wanted to say that I can't wait to grow this color out. I miss my black hair. I was almost tempted to put a Black permanent color in it, but I didn't want to cause more harm than good.

Yes professionally done I love color and what it does for my complexion. It is very drying and I have had issues with moisture/protein balance hence one of my reasons for being here but I think I may have figured out something just tonight (yay thanks LHCF)and can honestly say I think I have finally broken the spell I know that I will be able to have my cake and eat it too....meaning retain length as well as enjoy color.

I have two permanent colors and I should have known better because my hair is dryer, but I love to color my hair. So I am doing a lot of DC and just started using coconut oil and my other oils. I haven't done any protein, but I think I will do that this weekend.

I colored to death in the past, but now that I'm trying to undo a lot of the damage I caused my hair I don't plan on coloring for a while.

Yes. At one point I used a honey blonde dye by Dark N Lovely. It was done professionally at the salon. It was doing fine until my stylists assistant relaxed it while my stylist was away. It started shedding EVERYWHERE. It took me forever to bounce back from that.

I haven't dyed it again since then and I will NEVER. Also when I was younger I bleached it in order to lighten it up for a red rinse and the bleach damaged my hair.

This year I have gotten two Ruby Red rinses done in the salon. The brand was Jazzing both times. I plan to relax and rinse my hair next week but I'm going Blue-black for the winter. I love the way I look with darker hair.

I'm going to do a Bigen or a Clairol rinse. I haven't decided yet.

I reallllllllllly want highlights. But I'm jus whipping hair into a healthy state so I'll resist the temptation.

I semi colour every so often with Blue-black by Nicky Clarke  I loves it

yup. my hair is a deep wine red, but my roots are black.
i use henna, and clairol luminize to lighten my natural color.

i like it :)

No my hair isn't colored, but I would like to put in a rinse or try henna:yep:. Dying...streaks...highlights are not an opion now.:nono: I'll reconsider when I reach waist length.

No color....

but eventually I want to think about covering up the gray strands sprouting out in my crown area.

No. But I really want highlights this summer. I'm afraid of the peroxide though. Now that my hair is growing nicely I don't want to risk messing it up.

I might do a semi-permanent rinse though.

It’s not colored, but I plan to color it jet black later on this year I will use a semi permanent rinse, I'm staying away from the hardcore stuff.

Yes my hair is dyed soft black.

My natural color is a med brown. I just found this out a few mths ago. I started dying my hair after high school.
I really wish I hadn't dyed it this last time, because my hair feels hard now. It was so soft before when it was natural.
