Colored Kanekelon (sp?) Hair

Has anyone soaked colored braiding hair in vinegar (like on the growafrolong.com site?) with/without adverse affects? I'm thinking of getting braids in May and I'll have highlights by then and I'd like to use some colored braiding hair on the highlighted parts. TIA.

I've soaked the hair with acv with no adverse effects. In fact, doing so removes the alkaline base that dries out our hair, I've found that doing this step before braiding really helps cut down on dryness for me.
