I have some red streaks in the front, but I don't recommend permanent dye. I thought my hair could handle it since it's natural, and it has, for the most part. However, dye makes your hair incredibly dry, which can cause breakage, so you really have to be careful.
oh yeah! I'm a color fiend. I'll do rinses myself, but the big stuff I go in for. Right now it's a reddish blondish thing. It's growing on me. Hair color can definitely dry your hair out, but I find that bbeing natural has helped b/c my hair doesn't have all those chemicals in it, and I also really baby my hair after coloring, so I haven't had any problems.
No. My hair is naturally black and I don't like the idea of the amount of bleach I'd have to use to change it. Besides, I really can't picture myself with a different hair color.
I toy with the idea of a violet colored stripe in my hair, but I'll probably never do it.
Yes and no. I had a rinse done by a professional in January and it's fading now. It was my first time coloring. It looked beautiful but I most likely will not color again due to dryness & breakage...
Had some color last October - some kinda brownish red done by me ( dont remember the brand/color). Was really harsh for my hair and Ill never do it again. I still have about 1/2 inch of it on my ends which I may kill tonite.
I had a semi-permanent (that somehow became permanent) last year, but I cut the color off when I did the BC. I plan on doing a reddish rinse in September or October.
I use color done by a stylist a few times and done by me... Ive been dark golden blonde with golden blonde highlights....ive had bleached highlights with a rinse over it ...ive been dark brown....jet black..... Im currently off black but I told my self no more peroxide..amonia...or bleach for a year Im focusing and care and growth now...then ill see what I want to do after that..till then i may dobble dabble in semi perms and rinses or just let it be... i like change so who knows
My first highlight job was done by a stylist but I didn't like the technique she used. when it was time for a touch up I got the herbal essence highlight kit and the finished result actually matched my current hightlights. Now its almost that time again so I guess I'll be heading to Walmart for another box, lol
I use them too. I forgot the name but its is the coloring section at Sally's Beauty supply its in a bright hot pink bottle. It's a clear gloss the really makes my dull hair shine. I'm pretty sure the have it ant any seauty supply store.
