Good hair practices, health supplements(MSM,flaxseed oil, multivitamins and multiminerals, NAC) and patience.

Extremus

Would you explain how you used the Kalpi Tone? Did you make an oil or a paste and then rinse, for example?

Sure.

I make a paste:

In a bowl:

1 tbs of Kapi Tone powder

2-3 tbs of Fenugreek powder for moisture/slip

(2-3 tbs is plenty as this thickens up once you add warm water)

Add whatever oils I have (EVOO, EVCO, Brahmi, etc)

And a dollop of any cheapie moisturizing conditioner

Then slowly add warm water until you reach a creamy, smooth consistency. It's ok if there is tiny balls of fenugreek powder in the paste; they're pretty easy to rinse/wash out.

I either prepoo on dry, oiled hair or apply it after my shampoo. I always follow up with a slippery, moisturizing DC. I especially like Macadamia Oil Hair Masque after this treatment.

Hope this helps!

Megatek really did help. I stopped taking it for a while because it was too intense during stretching. I get 1/2" a month, so the MT gave me about 3/4". But its the headaches that killed me from it ugh. Now, I am just sure to keep up with my exercising 4x a week, drinking water regularly, keep my scalp clean and take my patience pills and multivitamins.

Biotin, MSM, Silica, S curl no drip, wash and condition wkly, protective styles, no heat, and NJoy concoction!

Biotin has really strengthened my hair i'm not sure about the growth part. I do know that i have gotten great growth from WGHO every time and it never disappoints. Once i get back to my weaves regimen my hair should be where i want it to be. I hate combing my hair and oils applied to my scalp while in weaves for 3-5weeks is my best growth aid.

Pregnancy (hair grew wildly during and after, with no postpartum shedding), msm, silica, biotin, other good vitamins, Ayurvedic oils and powders, and my herb/sulfur/eo mix. These added to a good diet and healthy hair practices have helped me average 3/4-1" a month consistently for the past couple of yrs (of course pregnancy is about 9-10 mos only).

Im currently using jbco so dont hve full review on that yet, have used megatek (just so-so), mtg (fast growth but too oily), wgho (used bck in the day and it works), and Ayurvedic oils seem to perform consistently for me and give good growth. I might buy more mtg and just cut it with eo's, herbs, and some carrier oil. I dont like that it reeks of burnt bacon used by itself.

Wearing braids and sew-ins grew my hair back after I had a set back.. (SL to BSL) So for me i would say less manipulation. Out of sight out of mind. I do take iron, folic acid, multivitamin, and Biotin but I view them as health benefits not solely to grow my hair.

The best growth aid I've encountered so far would have to be a combination of my multivitamin, Biotin, and, water. I also take a B-Complex vitamin to combat the much-talked-about acne outbreaks that occur with the consumption of Biotin. I drink plenty of water for that same reason as well. I've been taking it for 2 months with wonderful results  I actually need to get some more

I said other. I think the best growth aid is daily scalp massages and bagging every other day. I have a massage brush that I use then I baggy on dry hair using Jabakusum oil overnight. Then of course I make sure I take my multivitamin. GNC solotron with Iron girlfriend!

I made my BC on AUG 2011 and on 2012 i was obsessed with growth cause my hair was too short, i took pictures every month to see my growth. The best growth i noticed was when i was doing daily co-washes and following some type of CG method, no silicones, letting the conditioner on hair and firnger combing.

Let me show it with pictures (i made the CG and co-washes from may to june)

[snipped]

Now i'm using a mix with MN, sulfur and oils, (is Njoy's Sulfur mix + MN)since the begining of the month, I've been consistent and took a picture I hope to see some growth. I wanto to do the daily co-washes again, but i'm very lazy now that my hair is longer to do that every day >,<

Taina How is your progress with the NJoy Sulfur mix + MN? I was thinking about doing the same thing. Did you add the MN to the mix or did you just apply each one separately?

Mega Tek and Ayvuredic's - Kapi Tone powder.

Mega Tek- used it every other day and experience growth after 1-2 weeks of using it

Kapi Tone- used it once a week and experience growth the second week of using it

They both make your scalp a little itchy, but I don't mind; I'm assuming my hair is just growing.

Extremus Do you wash out the MT when you used it or....?

I prayed for wisdom to care for my hair, and the revelation of how to treat my hair came. I needed to increase my iron and other vits. I found that carefully blow-drying on med heat every 2 weeks (using lots heat protecting products, deep protein treatments as needed) and once month flat ironing, has rid me of "the dreaded knots" which were the culprits to always having to trim. I purposed since last summer to see if it really worked, and my growth retention has proven it definitely works "for me” And to the Lord be the glory!
I’m aiming for bra strap this year and for the first time since my HHJ, with the holy spirits help; I’m going to do it!:yep:

Hair Iam Having to always trim the knots are currently my biggest problem. I have been considering options on how to wear my hair to avoid this. I'm thinking about roller setting every 2 weeks to keep my hair stretched a bit. When you started this method, how did you handle the current knots? I trim and trim, but it never seems to be enough to get rid of all of them.

I agree with Qualitee

I have found that when I exercise I get good growth...if I had taken a break for some reason...let's say a couple of weeks and I was unable to workout... and then return to working out...I am like OH! I hadn't noticed it slowed down a bit and then note that my hair is growing again.

It is Oxygenation of the scalp as well as nutrients. So eat well and supplement when needed. I am going to invest in some wheatgrass powder and use that too. It's not to say that topical aids don't work but they can help along with exercise and diet. I vouch for castor oil mixed with a little coconut oil to loosen it up with several drops of circulation inducing peppermint oil and Basil oil. My hair is now waist length.

sorry a bit late ... but what i will share is that keeping my hair stretched , braided , pulled back in one , blow dried on occasion , has rid me of the dreaded knots....setting should help but you need to be consistent with what ever you do ...mix it up but keep training you hair to be stretched , When the curl is elongated it less chance for shedding hair to ball up... remember hair has a memory and will do what ever you train it to do "You get me ?" hope this helps

What happened to boundless tresses? Aw man everything that's great never stars around!!

What is mega tek website?

It was good, but I just used it for one month, january almost every single day (Jesus I'm really lazy). I mix everything in one aplicator. Here are pictures from December 28 when I started and January 30/Feb 1

Taina Thanks! One quick question: How much MN did you add to NJoy's bottle? The whole tube...?

Incognitus The presentation here is small, is just 20grs, so what i did is to mix one tube (20grs) with a little Njoy's mix, so it could be creamy. One tube last one week.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Megatek are my favorite growth aids.

Also,Hairfinity, workouts, drinking lots of water,moisturizing/sealing,and protective styles for extra growth.

Castor oil in general.

I used a random bottle of clear castor oil and the JCBO and there is no difference in effectiveness IMHO. Only difference was price - £1.50 from my local pharmacy vs £7.99 and an 1 hour trip to Pak's Cosmetics across town.

laylaaa

Thank you for that because I too stop using JBCO after seeing no difference. For what I pay for one 8 oz of JBCO I get three 33 oz. clear Castor Oil. They work just the same.

Yup, I'm thinking the 'different' processing in JCBO only affects the purity and remaining ash in the oil, and not its ricinoleic acid content which is the only part of the bean that's actually beneficial to the hair follicle. And all castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid (90-92% in your average Walmart bottle.)

I trialled both for 12 weeks+ each at different points in the year and the only thing that made my hair grow super fast was the fact that I was also being super consistent. :yep:
