hey girls...

i just wanna know is there any who have relaxed long 4b hair? and how's that happen and how much is it take?

i think i'm 4b or 4c , i'm relaxed and my hair is about Apl , and i'm stilll suffering from breakage it's better now but how can i have no breakage at all ? i don't know how?

i wish to have a really long hiar bsl and beyond, and i'm so afriad that i couldn't reach it because the type of my hiar and also i can't be natural it's so hard for me to be natural....

It is a reachable goal, and there many MBL-WL relaxed ladies here. Keep your hair (ends especially) moisturized and try protective styles (bunning, etc.) to help you reach your goal. Try a light protien like Aphogee 2-min Reconstructor to see is that will help your breakage issue.

I don't have 4b/4c hair, but the same rules apply to any hair type:

-protect your ends at the vulnerability stage which is less than APL
-Moisture your hair regularly especially the ends
-DC after every wash
-keep the moisture/protein in balance
-use little to no direct heat

i am currently right above APL and hope to get to HL one day. The ladies on here have given me some great advice. I know that if I follow what they say im sure that i will have great success. read up on the stickys and other posts and im sure you will get some ideas as to what you need to do to get your hair to grow. good luck

There are lots of relaxed ladies on here who are BSL or longer....I think a lot of the same rules apply,
-avoid direct heat
-Deep condition regularly
-be gentle with your hair when detangling
-stretch your relaxers as long as possible
-protect your ends
-moisturize and seal regularly

I am 4b Relaxed Cosigning with what the others ladies said about keeping Ends Moisturized and trying some protein to see if it helps with breakage and Reaching bra strap and beyond is attainable with 4b hair Good Luck.

thanks girls for ur advices. i read lots of theads here and i knew how to deal with my hair.and i just started to use aphogee 2 min and i wish it's works. but i wish that 4b ralaxed hair can reach bsl and longer.

thanks again.

Hi. Im relaxed with 4B hair and I have BSL...i cosign with everyone else...keep hair and ends moisturized, minimal - no heat, use protein periodically.

Keep your moisture/protein balanced, use heat sparingly...i use heat 2-3x max per month...not days or weeks,

Keep those ends moisturized and sealed with oil:)

Definitely achieveable.

The ladies have given great advice. In addition to those suggestions given, I also use a kiddie perm. It works for me.

deep condition and keep your hair moisturized. you also need a dose of patience. It will take awhile but you will get used to taking care of your hair.

oh girls :)

you made me happy. i thought that my hair will never get longer with the no -lye realxer and i have a realy sensitive scalp so i can't use lye one. i was shoulder length and now am about to Apl but not full i wish i can reach Bsl and beyond at the end of the year.

yes sharifeh i think i need patience i'm so hurry to see my hair on my back ,
thanks a lot for every body.

I have 4b to 4c hair too.

I agree mostly with the post by Barbie83. Follow those suggestions, especially how you handle your hair. Part and comb the hair in sections. Also, I would add to be careful with protein conditioners. It's not so much the type of conditioner, but when you use it on 4b hair. I would highly suggest using a protein condition about 2 to 3 weeks after a relaxer, when your hair is soft. Never use a protein conditioner right before you relaxer because your hair's roots will be thicker and hard to manage. It's so much easier right after the relaxer.

Hope the posts help!
