PJ Challenge

I was in Sally's today, combing the shelves like I don't already know what's there and after leaving with some stuff, I decided it's time for a break. I have a good variety of shampoos, conditioners, protein treatments, and heat protectants so I am challenging myself to not buy any more hair products until January 2007. ( I can't believe I just wrote that!) I think that this will be a good way to really get a consistient routine down and figure out what ingredients are best for my hair.

Anyone want to join me?

Maybe if you had said til like November, I would have been tempted to join this challenge, but t'aint no use in me even telling the lie that I will try not to buy any products til next year. Good luck to you though!!!!

Count me in. I have a ton of stuff i need to use up, lol. I think it should last me till 07. I have grabbed 2 things since i told myself i would not buy anything else. I bought that ORS Replenishing Pack after seeing so many post about it and a deep condtioner by Garnier Fructis, do know whu i bought it. It was on sale, lol. I did want to try 2 shampoos by Jasons, but i can wait, lol. I need to use up what i have. I have a huge bin that is over flowing.

Count me in, I have too much stuff already that I need to use up or throw away, I have already stopped buying products online and that was hard foir me to do but I did it and I have found products that I can get at a local BSS.

I am in, How long does this Challenge Last?

Until January 07.

I am not buying any more "new" products until Jan 1, 2007. For me, "new" means something I have never used before. I am using up everything that I have bought. This way, I know what really works for my hair and I can find out what my hair really needs. If I run out of a product before January, I will replace it. But I am not trying anything new. After January, if my hair needs something that I don't think my products are providing, then I will try a new product. That is what I am doing for this challenge. It will help me stay consistient and actually create a regimen.

I really need to join (I went outside last week to see my husband and the UPS man talking little did I know that they have become friends and are on a first name basis.) but I'm so weak I don't think I could make it to January.

Good to all you join this challenge, I am weak and find to many good deals on products to hold out.

Now that's funny.:lachen:

My goodness I need to join this challenge. But I'm still a newbie trying to learn my hair. Plus I am contemplating doing the BC. So, the timing just isn't right for me. But good luck to you ladies.

You know what.....forget it.......I'M IN!!!!!!

I didn't BC, and I just realized that my hair doesn't care for cones too much. So, I have a nice amount of cone free products, and I just recently bought most of the things that I've been wanting to try. So, count me in!!! :D

I know I will not make this one. No use to me lying to myself like I can do it.
Maybe if it was just a month...maybe. lol

I have to join this challenge!!!! I am done- I went into the BSS today and both the bag check guy and the cashier said "hi Lori, what are you looking for today"!!!! I was like :eek::eek:- this is one of the biggest BSS in NYC. I am done- all of the money I save from not going to the salon I spend on products. No more products until March 2007- did I really say that.

I think I'm ready kick the habit. My hair has been thriving thanks to endless experimentation. So, no more new products for me until the New Year. That's right. You heard me. No MORE!

I still haven't bought anything new. I am almost out of my AO GPB. So i'll be getting more of that. I am trying to get rid of all this stuff i have. Then stick with what i like.

I agree with this. This is how I will conduct this challenge. I have a couple of things to pick up, but definitely will be committed by this weekend.

Besides, I already have the products that work for me, so why do I need to purchase/try anything new....:ohwell: dang PJism:perplexed :look:

Hey, Miz Jackson how about people picking their own dates? Then some people can join for 30 days and others can join for the entire 4 months.

Now this I can do...right after I get a replacement for my dryer and olive oil serum. I'm sticking to what I know works and I won't try anything 'new' after the olive oil. I got tired of trying things right after I bought Herbal Essences Hydration and it not working for me. My hair is thriving right now using my staples.
