Wanted to style my hair in spirals was wondering if I use perm rods would I get the spirals in my hair (as you can see isn't that long). If so how would I do it? Or would anyone recommend something else?

I use flexi rods. My results are similar to this

I used perm rods when I was transitioning, to blend the two textures and "try out curly hair." I wrapped the rods with 'end paper' (I got from Sally's). I also found it worked best to wrap my hair starting at the bottom of the rod and working up (without overlapping) until I had wrapped my hair across the entire length of the rod. I also put the rods in starting at the nape and working up. I also used setting lotion to help the curls form smoothly.

This style worked very well for me and lasted about a week. Some could maybe make it last a little longer, but I don't sleep pretty. I would still do this style, but it's a little unnecessary now, since my hair curls like this on its own now. ;)
