Perm rods for a curly look?

Does anyone do this? My perm rods are in storage in Georgia and I cannot get to them until this summer. I was wondering if anyone uses perm rods for a messy, curly look anymore? If so, do you know where I can order some online? I loved doing this when my hair was cut short and now that it's past shoulder-length, I'm hoping for something grand!

I mess up my look with the perm rods. I just use smaller magnetic rollers

I use perm rods for the ends of my braidout on a nightly basis. They work well are are easily manipulated, imo.
