I must say my hair is doing so much better since I joined this forum. Anyway I went to rite aid to pick up a few things . I decided to get some MNT products to try and got some hair mayonnaise conditioner. So I get to the cash register where the cashier precedes to question me about the products. She asks me about the hair mayonnaise stuff. I tell her I've never tried it. She says well I wouldn't becaues I don't like all that stuff in my hair. I say oh ok. Well, I suggest maybe different conditioners. In which she says I don't use conditioners. That stuff is too much for my hair. Meanwhile her hair is horribly broken off . I just get so frustrated when someone asks you about something but are not open to suggestions. So I say ok and pay for my products and leave. Why do people do this? I mean I know not everyone believes they can grow healthy long hair, but they could at least be more open minded. My coworker asks for advice all the time and is so open about it. She even said she might go natural. For which I applauded. Oh well.

I've had that happen over hair stuff and other life situations. It baffles me why people ask for suggestions about something and then for everything you say, they have an excuse as to why they won't try what you suggest. In my head I'm like, "THEN WHY DID YOU ASK??" If you ask someone for advice you have to be open to what they are saying, IMO.

Yep jealous or ignorant...there was a thread similar to this one a few days ago about folks askin all these questions and making assertions, and when you tell them what you do/give advice, they argue you up and down that you don't know what you're talkin about...all the while, they've got more breakage, shedding, split ends, dandruff, and dryness than they know what to do with and you're standin there with a head full of long healthy hair.
I only have 2 people who actually take the hair advice I give them. When the hard headed folks ask, I decline the convo b/c I know it's pointless to keep repeatin myself when all they wanna do is tell me I'm wrong.
It befuddles me too girl...
