What type of salon is it? Perhaps there have been problems in the past. I take this with a grain of salt. I feel if a person was brought there by a spouse, there should be enough space for that person to wait until service is finished. However, no one should need an audience to see them get their hair done. It smacks me as a white owned salon.

I just imagined these scenarios and it made me LOL!

I totally agree with the salon saying that. We've been asking for black salons to step it up on their professionalism game so...makes perfect sense.

Very good idea! I don't think salons should be a hang-out joint for friends and family.

i think it is perfectly acceptable.

No prob! You don't bring your whole crew with you when you go to a doctor, dentist or other services so why should this be any different?

It makes perfect sense. The only way I'd expect and be ok with a non customer being in the establishment is if they have a small child there getting services otherwise I am sure they could find something better to do with their time.
