Organix Conditioners Review (most of them... Long)

Anybody else been using Organix for a while?

I have been using Organix Conditioners for about 6 months. I tried it once, and to be honest it was so-so. But after a few uses I noticed a real difference. Now that it has been several months I can appreciate the good it has done.
My hair is softer, shinier, and has more swing to it. It is stronger, thicker, and feels soft to the touch. My hair still feels "conditioned" after I rinse it out, and detangling has gotten easier as well overtime. My hair doesn't snap off anymore from combing or brushing. I do not even have to DC for long periods of time, either. I can put the conditioner on, sit for 5-10 minutes... maybe even 3 minutes if I'm in a hurry... then rinse and style. I don't have to add all these other ingredients like honey or oils or other conditioners. I have about 2+ inches of NG that has remained soft, and it makes all of the curls/coils in my hair a lot more defined as well. Even my kinks are better defined now too. My nape has ceased all breakage and is very thick.

Basically the way I use the conditioners is based on the ingredients (and sometimes just the smell). But to be completely honest I think there is something in common with all of them that makes them so great. A lot of the ingredients are the same, but the different ingredients do serve a purpose in each of them. Some have different amounts of protein, and others have more or less silicones or moisturizers in them too. A few have a lot more water than others as well.
  • Coconut Milk- This conditioner is very moisturizing, and I use it after protein treatments or clarifying or just when I don't have much time because it softens my hair very fast.
  • Shea Butter- This has IMO the perfect combo of moisture and protein. It is thicker than the coconut milk conditioner and makes detangling very easy. I think this one has a lot more protein than the other conditioners, but it is balanced well. I use this if my hair feels mushy.
  • Vanilla Silk- This is right in between the coconut milk and shea butter when it comes to the moisture and its consistency. It smells like heaven, makes my curls pop and does a great job eliminating frizz. I like to airdry with this one as a leave-in because it keeps my hair smooth.
  • White Tea Grapeseed- I think the smell is too much like tea but it feels so smooth and slippery on my hair, and it leaves it very shiny even when I don't have the conditioner on anymore. I have only used this twice but it definitely may be my favorite. I plan to use it as a DC.
  • Teatree Mint- I love the smell, and even after I have rinsed my hair and blowdried I can still smell the mint. My hair feels strong, my scalp feels clean, and I feel refreshed after I use this one. This conditioner wakes me up and has me smelling my hair all day, no other conditioner besides bioInfusions Rosemary Mint has done that.
Anyway, please post if you have tried the others, I would love to know how they have worked out. These were the only ones I could find in stores. I hate to sound bandwagonish, but I'm convinced that these are some of the best conditioners I have ever used. I have tried some expensive stuff, but for the price and the time they last, they just aren't worth it IMO. Organix is 7 dollars at the most, and the bottle lasts a good long time. The smell actually stays on my hair (which I happen to like) and it isn't runny or too thick. I can use them as a leave-in, regular conditioner, cowash with it, DC, prepoo, whatever and they are just great either way. Just awesome.:drunk::grin:

i have used the coconut condish and i hated it! it didnt give me good slip.

i do like the vanilla silk poo tho. never tried the condish.

Thanks for the review Aloof! I've been thinking about trying the organix line and this makes it a lot easier to choose which product is best for my hair.

Thanks for the review, the PJ in me wants to buy that Vanilla and Shea butter but the realistic side says "well you have products that work for your hair now"...but I think these may smell better!

ha!

I was going to get some of these when they were on sale at Walgreens buy 1 get 1 free. I even went into the store and looked at them and picked them up but in the end decided I should use up some more of my products before trying these. Now the review makes me regret it! Oh well, I'm sure another sale will come around before I run out of conditioner.

So far I have tried the coconut and shea. Both are moisturizing and leave my hair smelling great. I love them. I want to try them all to see which ones are beneficial to my hair. Thanks for the review of the others. I will let you know when i try them.

Great reviews! I love Organix too. I have also used the the Citrus Mango conditioner and it smells nice and citrusy. This conditioner has no other added protein other than the standard silk amino complex that appears in this line. Also it has honey in it. This is the thinnest of the conditioners I've used, it works great as a leave-in and detangles well as a rinse out.

I've tried the coconut one the other day. It was nice and creamy and smelled heavenly.

I tried the white tea/grapeseed one as well. Haven't washed it out yet... but my SO likes that smell (he like's citrusy fruity scents).

are any of them comparable to nexxus humectres....Im in need of products ( about to run out) so Im in need of a hair haul and wanna make sure i get great stuff

If I could compare it to something it would be the grapeseed/white tea because they provide good slip and moisture. But the Grapeseed White Tea Organix conditioner is a lot lighter and doesn't coat my hair too much like Humectress does. I think there is a lot of Avocado oil in the Humectress, which had my hair very shiny though, but it is shinier with the Organix conditioners. As for a bottle the size as it was I felt like I was wasting my money though. Plus the smell was kind of boring IMO. And you get about twice as much conditioner for the less money if you buy Organix intead.

I have the Vanilla, Shea, and Coconut. They all smell great. I only thought they were so-so when I originally used them but I plan to revisit them.

Hey, you changed your name! When did that happen? :spinning:

Great reviews! You make me wanna run out and buy some! I sure wish we had a big assortment here, I wanna try the Mango, Grapeseed and Pomegranate ones. All we have is Coconut Milk, Tea Tree, Shea Butter and Vanilla Silk :ohwell:

I changed it yesterday I think. I got tired of folks calling me Al... but it still happens :lachen:

I don't think the Mango and Pomegranate will be hitting CVS or Walgreens Im at for several months. People are just now catching on the Shea Butter like they did the Coconut. They are flying off the shelves.

I have been using for awhile too.
I have used the Coconut, Vanilla, and the White Tea Grapeseed.

The Coconut is my favorite. It makes my hair so soft and elastic. The Vanilla was so so. The grapeseed is amazing for me as a leave in. I tried to DC with it and I did not get soft slippery silky hair so I had to go DC again but I think I will stick with it as a leave in until or if I have any adverse affects.

Good post.

Thanks for the review! I currently use the Tea Tree Mint poo and conditioner and I love them! Now I know how the other kinds work...

I love the vanilla poo and the vanilla cond. Right now i'm using the vanilla cond as a leave in and i love it:grin: I have the coconut cond but haven't used it yet. They all smell lovely:grin:

Im gonna try the Grapeseed as a leave-in too. I hated the smell at first, but I think it was cause my nose is stopped up. I just smelled it now and its like oranges :drunk:

Last night I used the vanilla it was grrrrreeeeeeaaaaaatttttt!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I couldnt believe my hair texture. I loved it. I am def going to try the others

i love this! i use the shea butter almost everytime and its great with detangling and just smoothing ur hair. i just got the coconut so we shall see but i give it a thumbs up

Thanks for posting. I just stocked up yesterday at Walgreens and Target in Cincy (this product cost over $30 USD at my local international shop in Japan). There is a free rebate on the bottles and walgreens also has buy 1 get 1 free.

When I first used the vanilla conditioner, it really tangled my hair. Now I use the vanilla and coconut as pre-poos and they're fabulous! My new growth is so soft and my hair feels thicker. I want to try to the shea butter next. I didn't even know there was mango!
