Periodically, I use open capsules of Evening Primrose oil and apply the oil to my new growth and ends. The first time I tried it, my ends were noticably softer and my new growth was very soft and much more manageable. I added it after washing, conditioning and applying my leave in conditioner. I mixed it in with a silicone serum- this combination gave me fantastic shine.
Take care,
G

Profective Anti-thinning creme when massaged into the temples and other thinning areas of the head will help the hair to grow back. I also use fantasia IC hair polisher when doing roller sets to keep the hair smooth. Baby shampoo is nice and detangling.

I am always on the look out for anything detangling. I recently tried Mary-Kate and Ashley's Detangler in the laveneder bottle for $1.89 and it's excellent! I'm horrified that I'm buying it and making those 2 lil' ugly girls richer but it works. (Oh and yeah I know that's mean, but they're laughing all the way to the bank)

I love me some grease, but I think I've made it known on more than one occasion.

I don't mind shampoos with SLS or whatever else, as long as it doesn't dry out my hair.

Black n' Sassy Tea Tree Oil Super Gro...I used to apply to my scalp...its smells so good (like banana pudding). It helped thicken my hair. I stopped using it because I heard this type of stuf clogs your pores.

I also used Black n' Sassy Finishing Wrap Sheen...it smelled wonderful as well...I used it when I wrapped my hair at night. I stopped because it would make my hair lose body or volume and style.

After washing, I use the following three items mixed together, WITHOUT FAIL, and wrap my hair and then dry it for 30 minutes under a dryer, tie on the silk scarf and sleep on it overnight to complete drying. It always comes out soft, SHINY, and rich-looking (a shame that most of it goes under a phony-pony, but one MUST persevere

Kemi-Oyl, about a nickel to quarter-sized amount;
A generous amount of Black and Sassy Wrap Lotion (smells wonderful) and,
Keracare Silken Seal, about a dime-sized amount.

Ever since I stumbled on this combination, I have loved it and stopped whining about my dry hair.

I use Infusium 23 Power Pac (reconstructor) I apply it on my wet hair. I usually find that conditioners take better when I put it on wet hair vs. damp hair. I like it cause it does strenghthen and moisturize at the same time. And it has an awesome clean smell that lasts in my hair.
