Thank you for the compliment love. I can thank Jade for my thick hair with her B5 rec from 2000 - I put a pic up from 2 years ago to show my progress..thickness, health etc...all improved from that pantothenic!

Sorry - it Does contain a bit of peroxide. No ammonia - which is KEY in haircolors....most important.

Morticia,
Your hair is cute any colour...lucky undertaker!!! I really like the contrast!

Changing up ur style every now and then is a good thing and what you have going on is wukking gal!

Tracy...Calmate tus nervios...that color is beautiful w/ your complexion. I thought your bronze/red phase was very pretty but then again, Im biased because I love red/blonde tones....its very shiny now. You will be used to it by tomorrow. Ne te preocupes...

Your hair looks pretty. You are not pale. The black does not make you look pasty. It gives you an exotic look. You just have to become adjusted to the black. I had to get use to my hair color too.

Tracy, first of all I have to say your hair is very beautiful, its shinny and full of body. A new color is always great, you probably have to get used to it, I personally think it looks great, your complexion actually is good, b/c you can go from dark to light and vice versa and still look great.

looks very nice

Tracy,

The black looks good on you!! I agree with Zgirl, in that you're not so light that the black washes you out. Not at all!! You will get used to it real soon. And your hair looks healthy, thick & shiny!!!

Tracy,

I'm

for you!!! I've been there, so I know how you feel!!

When I did mine, it didn't help either that people would make negative comments about how they thought the light color looked so much better on me!!!

I recently went from a medium brown with blond highlights to black. I've been getting comments like - "it's too dark" or "you look better with the lighter hair".

I personally thought it looked shinier/healthier. My Mom said it was too harsh for my complexion.

The main reason why people say that is because they're so used to seeing you with light hair. If they always saw you with black hair, I betcha they wouldn't have even thought of that.

(((HUGS))) for Tracy!!! I know how it feels when you're not pleased with your hair, but I saw the pictures and it looks very rich! It has a lot of shine and looks waaay healthy.

Are you going to try to lighten it?

Tracy Girl,

You better dry up those tears and rock those gleaming ebony tresses. You look great and I don't care if you you wanna bop me in the head like Lindy (just don't mess up my hair). You've been overruled!

Tracy - you have such beautiful hair and I'm sure the black is very flattering. It probably gives you a more exotic look. I'm keeping my hair black, at least for the fall/winter. In my case, everyone will just have to get used to it.

i hvae honey blonde hair ... i want to go back to black but i think it is going to look so plain on me since im known for my blondeness and two it may wash out since i wash my hair every day =(. So i guess i will stick to my blonde

Actually - (those of you who know me KNEW this was going to happen, didn't you.....

)

I LOVE IT NOW.

Wearing it curly gave me a different look at it and I changed my makeup colors which made a WORLD of difference in how the color compliments my skintone and coloring.

I feel like the girl from Ipanema...

I'm much happier with it. Thank you so much to all of my loves who made me feel better about it when I felt like I had brought my entire hair world crashing down around my feet.

to all of you. Much Love.

Tracy Tracy Tracy.

Poor thing, I know exactly what you're going through. My natural hair color is somewhat of a #2 (dark brown). Well after wearing relaxers for years, of course your hair will lighten to a certain degree.

A couple of years ago, I started wearing braids and weaves and I would always have my hair braided or weaved with #4/#30 so I was adjusted to the light hair for about 2 years. Then I went to Jet black. My god, I felt like the black washed me out completely. The male response definitely was much different with the black hair vs. the light brown/blondish.

It took me a couple of months to be honest with you to be totally comfortable to with the drastic change. Eventually the color began to tone itself down, my hair started growing out and since then I haven't dyed my hair (with the exception of a couple of weeks ago when i rinsed it).

All in all, eventually the color will cool down and you will adjust to dark hair again. IMO, it helps that fall's approaching, being that dark hair is much more popular in the cooler months.

You're lucky to be so brave!! I think I tie too much of my identity into my hair!!!
Years ago I died mine blue-black after wearing braids with a blend of brown, light brown and blonde- and woo-ee!! I thought I looked all pale and sickly from the change! It makes my complection looked just TOO light for my taste. I stick with the browns and blondes to give the appearance of sun-kissed skin!!

Oh, WOW! I just saw your pretty black hair!! It's so soft, lush and healthy looking! Trust me, it is just a matter of you getting used to the new color, because from MY point of view, it's "Helloo, Gorgeous!"
