:lachen:We cant seem to get away from horsie products, can we? :lachen::lachen:I'll bet it melts those tangles way too.

It does! This is exactly what I was referring to that I drove an hour away to get. I keep it on hand now. I live in VA and horse tack shops are plentiful. It costs $13 per tube, I used the whole thing, but it is so worth it.

Yes, this works like a charm! The matted hair seems to magically disappear! My granddaughter's hair was one big matted ball after swimming with her very curly hair loose. This did the job

I just want to say Thanks to all who quoted Me, for some odd reason my Thanks button disappeared, I started a thread in Q&A, questioning this, I live by My Thanks button, What gives, anyone else?

I spritz tangles with water and saturate them in coconut oil. KK Knot today or protective mist bodifier also help me detangle. Hope all is well with your hair.

Ok after about 8 hours in on and off sessions I finally finished. I only had to use the scissors once at the very end. I did what ya'l said about the conditioners but that just made it worse. I tried 2 different ones before I tried Hairveda Sitrinilla Deep Conditioner. That seemed to work along with some olive oil, a denman, wide tooth comb, lots of tears, and patience and prayer.

I want all of you to know I appreciate a the help that you gave. I really do. You ladies are the best. I had an exhausting day so I'll post pics of this catastrophe tomorrow.

Thanks again! *muah* :)

I'm glad you got through the tangles. I came in here before turning in to see if any of our suggestions helped. Like somebody else upthread said ... I'm tired just reading about it, like I went through it myself. Good night! lol!

These pics don't even do it justice because these were just tiny sections. I had a 3 inch thick lock in 2 places that was about 3 inches wide in both places and one was so thick I had to cut it out.

Seeing those pictures makes me not want to stretch beyond 12 weeks anymore. I'm 16 weeks post and now I'm afraid to wash because I've been having issues with tangles too.

Glad it's over, OP. :bighug: I shudder at the thought of anyone having to deal with massive tangling and matting.

Glad you got thru it Sparkling Flame. For all those interested, Cowboy Magic is an excellent product. I got a big 'ol bottle of the stuff. :yep:

Oh My STARS!!!!!!

I am so sorry for your catastrophe!!!!

:nono:

when I was young and relaxed ( in High School) - I could only get my hair done every 3 months ( 12 weeks)...It was kinky - but never matted....

again... I am sorry.....

SF, glad that your disaster is over. Thanks for posting a pic of your very clean and organized bathroom! :D

Now you got me scared to take down my install to prepare for a new one.

Oh yes! Taking hair pics means you're inviting the world inside your bathroom! I made sure it was immaculate before I started snapping pics. :lachen:

Aint no way Im doing anything tonight. I'll end up shaved by the morning if I do. I'll just have to work with it tomorrow.

I agree with the post above. Sometimes...you just have to back away from the hair challenge. I got all crazy and just cut a chunk out of my hair earlier this year. There are moments when I look back like :perplexed I don't know what I was thinking, but I'd been working on the knots for hours! So...yeah.

You are so right! I did cut a small chunk tho cuz after working on tha tiny section, which was the last little bit after an hour, I just said forget it and cut it. It was small enough to where I can't even find it now. Well, maybe because its a jungle under there is why. Lol!

So when are you going to relax your hair? I'd do it STAT before the locking starts again. Your hair is gorgeous BTW, I'm so glad you didn't have to cut off all your hair.
