Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to say thank you and to let you know that I have not had any breakage in two weeks. The mango butter that was suggested to use so great for my hair. I use it in the morning and when I come home from work. I have a question though: I just got my color rinsed this passed Fri. Feels good looks good. what should I do to it Tues. condition only wash or hot oil and shampoo and deep moisturizing protein condition. which one? any suggestions please.

Hi LisaG,

It's always nice to read posts like yours. I'm glad the breakage is under control. /images/graemlins/smile.gifI don't know anything about color or rinses, so I'll leave that to some of our more knowledgable members. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

For a color rinse you shouldn't need a protein treatment unless you're having a breakage issue independent of the color. Because a rinse simply coats the hair shaft w/ non permanent color it is not damaging to your hair. What brand & color rinse did you get? (I just got a clear Jazzing rinse that my stylist throws in w/ the touch-up! /images/graemlins/smile.gif )
I'd say do what you feel if you've been doing the conditioner wash routine I say go ahead, but if you want to do the hot oil-poo-protein combo go ahead too, but it's not necessary if you don't wanna.

Thanks. I use Beautiful Collection by Clairol. I would like to try Hennalucent because I think that would not wash out as fast as the rinse does. but I do not have enough info on it.

I remember reaing somewhere on the motions website that hot oil treatments make the color fad faster, I believe that this info can be found under the how to's tips section for conditioning on motionshair.com
If i didn't have to run i'd find it and post 4 u!
