First I would like to say HELLO to everyone on this wonderful board!!!!
Once I found this sight I new I had to join. You guys are amazing and the progress you've made is outstanding. It is a true testament to the fact that black womens hair can and will grow with the proper care.
That said, I really need your advice. I have been on this board hours upon hours trying to figure out the right regimen for myself and I am at a loss. I keep buying products that are raved about here but I realize I don't really have a system and that is where the problem lies.So I thought I would list all the products I have and maybe you can help me formulate a system without buying anything new. (CAUSE A SISTA IS BROKE ).
Relaxer:
Mizani Lye relaxer (for fine and color treated hair: I have fine 4a/b hair, I have a black rinse but I am contemplating a black dye job. Does a black dye affect your hair like the lighter ones?? I heard black dye is less damaging?? What about henna? Also I have a blunt cut bob that stops a little bit past my chin. I love to wear it down whenever possible and I try not to use heat unless its a must. Maybe once every two weeks. I wrap it around at night with a satin scarf and go in the morning. Lately when I run my fingers through my hair I feel a friction towards the ends. Sometimes it gets caught and I have to gently pull it apart.)
Moisturizers,creams,oils:
ORS olive oil
ORS olive oil moisturizing hair lotion
Wild hair growth oil
Pure olive oil
ORS carrot oil
Mizani Rose H20 conditioning hair dress
Aveda brilliant anti-humectant pomade
Ion heat protectant
Elast QP Mango butter
Shampoos,treatments,etc:
ORS Hair Mayo
Mizani Kerafuse strengthening treatment
Infusium 23 Pro Vitamin leave in (original formula)
Biolage daily leave in tonic
Creme of nature shampoo in green bottle
Mizani conditioning styling lotion
Mizani Hydrafuse moisturizing treatment
NTM shampoo
NTM conditioner
NTM recovery mask
NTM serum
Hair Tools:
Ion hooded dryer
satin rollers
Professional Perm rods
Plastic magnetic rollers
(I was wondering if I could still have the blunt easy flowing look with rollers??)
I know I have to some things out with trial and error but I just feel overwhelmed with so much info that I don't even know where to begin. Any jump start info you can give will be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
