I had it on 5 which is pretty low. Actually that is not hot enough to get my hair straight, but it is hot enough to make that burnt hair smell.
I DO NOT go for the fried, dyed and laid to the side smell in my hair when it comes to heat styling.
My FHI or H2pro never does that even when it is pretty hot enough to straighten my texlaxed hair.
This is ceramic right? I assumed so. Maybe I can try it again. I tried it with both plates. It is just not working out the way I want. I ended up turning it off and pulling out my H2pro and finishing the job.
Even after, I still smelled that infamous too hot golden curling iron smell (yall know that smell) in my bathroom.
