New Growth Question

Hi ladies! I'm a long time lurker. I decided to post because I am kinda confused. I have experiencing a lot of new growth but the left side of my head has much more than the right. That in itself has me confused. Does anyone else experience this? Also when is the best time to judge accurate new growth? Seems when I air dry, I see more new growth than when I say I rollerset under the hair dryer. Right now I am 1" shy of bra strap length and my next relaxer is not until July. If I look at my new growth when I air dry, I have at least 2 inches. My last relaxer was 3/13.

It's funny you mention this. My hair is always longer on the left. I always have to cut the left side more to even it up with the right side. But I'm afraid I don't know what it is. I figure it has to be that either I have more breakage on the right side or the left side just grows faster

When I air dry it also feels like I have more new growth. But I believe it's because with nothing to pull out the new growth as it dries, it will shrink up. But when you blow dry or roller set, the new growth is stretched-out some so it's not as obvious.

Thanks Chocolatesis! I don't know what's going on either. My right side's new growth has less curl pattern also. It is weird. I am trying to stimulate the right side to see if I can get it to grow like the left. We'll see.

Also I guess I will do a measure when I rollerset on Thursday. I think it is about 1" but I am not sure. Yesterday I air dried into a ponytail and this morning the new growth was just out of control. I may have to stick with rollersetting until July because trying to deal with this new growth when I air dry is just too much.
