I think there was a postal worker who's head was a HAM that stole my book:nono: Mine still hasn't arrived:sad:
 
I finished reading this book in less than 2 days. :lachen:My hair has made a complete turn around since being on this board, and after reading this book there still was a ton of information I found I was missing:spinning:! I can't want to see my progress after I tweak my regimen.:dance7: Love this book!!! I'm actually lending it to a friend tomorrow. (I'll post this review on
Amazon as well). This was one of the best hair books I've read. I love that it does not focus around specific products, but more routine. I have to admit I did pay a lot of attention to the product section as well :-) :yep:

lol, i'm all late. i just placed my order! can't wait to read this.:):):) i love hair books & the anticipation for this one has got me all excited, lol ... especially the full color pictures ... and if there are microscopic pics of black hair strands in this book -- like i'm hoping -- i think i'm going to holla, lol ... the hair nerd in me can't wait. :):):) congrats sistaslick wishing you much success!
 
Ok so I'm trying to make the book last but I'm half way already...So far I think this book is just PERFECT:yep: Every household should have one where lives a little black girl JMHO:grin:

Ok so I just finished reading:yay: What a fantastic book:grin:! Perfectly written, clear and concise. The info is delivered in an easy to understand format with stunning imagery! Even with being a member of a hair forum (or 3) there was still new information to absorb. As a critical reader the attention to detail is obvious and very much appreciated:yep: After reading many of @Sistaslick articles I had high expectations for the book and "The Science of Black Hair" does not disappoint! Now my poor daughters may not love it as they'll have to study it - complete with tests...oh Mama:yep:

I just finished reading unit 1 and my lawd, there is so much information. I especially like that I see actual pictures of the scalp, hair structures and different hair textures. I also loved the explanation about the LOIS system (which always confuse the heck out of me). I can't wait to finish this book over the weekend.
 
I ordered the special edition today, i want to see the pics in living color :grin:...i'm newly natural, so i can't wait to learn about caring for textured hair
 
Yea 1 copy for me and 1 for momma :) I love Sista Slick's articles too. I got them digitally and hard copy to review:)

Hey blcbuty! The color version (hard/paperback) should be available on BN. Just make sure that the cover image has the gold special edition seal on it :yep:
