yep they sure are.Nonie... your natural hair styles are so pretty!![]()
gurl it looks full to me, did u twist or flattwist to achieve the look?
I did two strands on dry stretched hair. I'm gonna have to start doing it on dry hair from now on. It made a big difference. On wet hair it always looks scalpy.![]()
I think my coils are uniform. Of course from afar it all looks like a mass of wool but close up, you can see the uniform pen springs throughout. Here are a few photos showing this:

ETA: Next time I wear my hair out, I'll have someone take texture shorts of every zone of my head. I think I have it all the same.
My hairs' a little anti-social and likes to be left alone. lol. So i resort to only co-washing it/detangling it everyday and then let it do its thing. Its been thriving ever since ive adapted the minimal approach to hair care![]()
Oh wow..i always do mine on wet/damp hair , how long did u let it set b4 untwisting? sorry for the 21 questions![]()

It took like all day.I'm sure if you did it over night it would dry by morning. Long story short - I was trying to do something else and didn't like how it turned out. I was trying to do Dr. Akbari's curly fro. So the next morning I just parted my hair in fours and did twists on dry hair. I did it in the morning and then unraveled them like late that afternoon and that's how it turned out. I did the twists for Dr. Akbari's fro on damp hair and let it dry. When I did the twists for the twist out the next morning it was on dry hair that had already been stretched somewhat. I also didn't use gel this time. I usually do braid outs and twist outs on wet hair with conditioner and fantasia gel. The only two products in my hair now are Cantu Shea Leave In - that I applied to wet hair Saturday morning after washing and then when I parted it into fours and twisted I used this new stuff I bought. It's Hair Milk from Palmer's Coconut Oil Line. That was it. I think I'm going to use this method from now out. It came out soft and it's fluffy and full. It didn't shrink as much as it usually does either.
ETA: I took some pictures of the twists before I took them out. I need to add the pictures to my fotki.
