I did two strands on dry stretched hair. I'm gonna have to start doing it on dry hair from now on. It made a big difference. On wet hair it always looks scalpy. :ohwell:

Oh wow..i always do mine on wet/damp hair , how long did u let it set b4 untwisting? sorry for the 21 questions:lachen:

I think my coils are uniform. Of course from afar it all looks like a mass of wool but close up, you can see the uniform pen springs throughout. Here are a few photos showing this:

ETA: Next time I wear my hair out, I'll have someone take texture shorts of every zone of my head. I think I have it all the same.

Nonie gurl, you know ur hair is too cute!!!

Mine is the same when wet. But I never even try to determine what the patterns are anyway. I never saw the point? I'm probably going to wig it up for the next few weeks so I can give my hair a break.

My hairs' a little anti-social and likes to be left alone. lol. So i resort to only co-washing it/detangling it everyday and then let it do its thing. Its been thriving ever since ive adapted the minimal approach to hair care:)

Your hair is progressing soooooo nicely!!!! I've always loved your curls and was devastated when you decided to BC again--not that it was a bad look!

And, to the OP: hecky no!

It took like all day. :look: I'm sure if you did it over night it would dry by morning. Long story short - I was trying to do something else and didn't like how it turned out. I was trying to do Dr. Akbari's curly fro. So the next morning I just parted my hair in fours and did twists on dry hair. I did it in the morning and then unraveled them like late that afternoon and that's how it turned out. I did the twists for Dr. Akbari's fro on damp hair and let it dry. When I did the twists for the twist out the next morning it was on dry hair that had already been stretched somewhat. I also didn't use gel this time. I usually do braid outs and twist outs on wet hair with conditioner and fantasia gel. The only two products in my hair now are Cantu Shea Leave In - that I applied to wet hair Saturday morning after washing and then when I parted it into fours and twisted I used this new stuff I bought. It's Hair Milk from Palmer's Coconut Oil Line. That was it. I think I'm going to use this method from now out. It came out soft and it's fluffy and full. It didn't shrink as much as it usually does either.

ETA: I took some pictures of the twists before I took them out. I need to add the pictures to my fotki.

Definitely not
Especially now in the winter time! The middle now frizzes up just to bother me. The rest of my hair curls up nicely....as long as I don't make any sudden moves or blink till it dries LOL

Plus 2 years later I still have a mushroom hairstyle when I wear it natural. The bottom part of my hair is 3b and the rest 3c. It doesn't blend in right. I'm hoping it'll grow in better. Both of my daughters have beautiful uniform curls, but not me.

oh ok...so they were done on prestretched dry hair....i will have to try this:) Thanks again glam

I wish I did...got some 3s and 4s up and through my hair...when wet it looks wavy curly and then really curly...but what can you do?

I love Nonie and Minny's hair! So gorgeous!! I don't have uniform curls. I have 4a hair overall, but 3c in the front and 4b at my nape... Figuring out how do make all of that mess look uniform is an adventure for me...

Nope my hair is three different textures. Loose waves in the front, 4b in the middle and 4a everywhere else. I wish my hair had a uniform texture but according to my mom that's how my hair has always been.

I wish! It seems since I've been putting henna on once a month I no longer have curls at all. My hair looks like a braidout, all crinkly-but flat. after I put my mn/sulfur 8 mix in, it gets straight the next day when I brush it. I don't like it at all, because it has no volume. Glamazon, I wish my texture was like yours-that is a cute style on you.
