I voted "bi-weekly." My products contain 'cones, so I clarify every two weeks to remove any buildup. Sometimes, I wait 3 weeks.

Weekly. Conditioning washing will cause product buildup on your hair.

I'm thinking about clarifying once a week but I was worried that it may be too much. Thanks ladies

I don't use conditioner anymore, but when I did, I clarified maybe every 10-14 days, sometimes once a month. It depended on the type of conditioner I was using.

I clarify once a month - cone-free conditioners, water-soluable products, and now that I'm using the Indian herbs as a wash, I feel like I can go even longer without it....

Once a month. I use a lot of natural prooducts so i don't really feel the build up often. Although, lately I've started using sunsilk bc i kept forgetting to buy natural butter--so i definitely need to clarify this weekend!

I clarify once a week mostly with a clarifying shampoo or shampoo bar, but if my hair is feeling coated and gummy mid-week, I will do an ACV or baking soda rinse.

So what are you using now if you don't mind my asking?

As for me, I clarify whenever I remember. I don't use any styling product or silicones so tend not to have any build-up.

I don't clarify very often, once every 2-3 months. Just never noticed a lot of build up in my hair.

At times I will dilute Shikakai shampoo with lots of water and use that and a type of clarifier for the scalp and hair. Not much though.

I clarify about once a month, and I shampoo about once a week (or once every two weeks).

once a month, but I alway do a ACV rinse afterwards...But I might start doing it biweekly.

I clarify once a week using a baking soda rinse. I plan to alternate this with acv rinses though starting next month

Since I limited the use of cones- I clarify every 6-8 weeks before I do a major Aphogee treatment.

only when i use products with cones or anything that will build up on my hair.

I clarify only when I use a lot of product or when my scalp feels coated. If I coash daily, I'll do once a month. If I am doing it less than every six weeks.

I clarify like once a week. I know, I know. You guys are probably like, "OMG HER HAIR IS GOING TO DRY OUT!!!" but actually, in combination with a DC, weekly co-washing, Infusium Leave-In (moisturologie), and Baggying, I can use a clarifying shampoo more often, sometimes twice a week.

I don't know about you guys, but since my regime, I haven't had dried out hair since.

When I'm in braids I clarify every 2 wks with ACV rinse, other then that Once a month.

I think I'll start an every two weeks routine until I use up all my products with cones in them...This is a good post, I'll add this to my reggie.

Every two weeks for me! But I'm relaxed!

I never clarify, but I do shampoo once every 3-4 days (I don't think this counts as clarifying). I don't see a need to because the shampoo seems to work just fine.

I never clarify, per se. I wash my hair at least once a week. I typically use low cone products, but if I do use cones I still usually wash with Elucence shampoo which has a very gentle sulfate.

I voted never because I don't consider doing an ACV rinse clarifying. I don't use any leave-ins/styling products after my wash and I do use shampoo at least once a week but often twice, so build up has never been an issue for me.

I clarify once a week. Gunk builds up on my scalp easily, so I'm either using baking soda or a clarifying shampoo.
