No. I hate it. I just threw out the large barley used tub i had. it was just awful in my hair.

My hair hates it. It turns on me when I use shea butter. Coconut oil and castor oils are what my hair loves, I'm 4b/a btw.

No. It made my hair hard. Soft on application but dries up hard. I didn't like it. :nono:

Girl what's yo prob? I know you didn't just throw it away...I love this stuff :lick: I buy mine from Nasaab.com.

Oh I really liked the Oyin Whipped Pudding. I used it as a moisturizer while in weaves and my sister does the same thing as well. I loved using it that way and my hair was really moisturized when I took it down.

Regular shea butter I used and liked fine. I ordered it from the place Traycee (keepitsimplesista.blogspot.com) recommends because it's creamy, unrefined, and pretty cheap. I still haven't used it all up because I don't really use it that often. But it was fine in my hair (4a/b). I've found that I like coconut oil and castor oil better because they are easier to apply.

I use shea butter for my twists. I get it from a local BSS but you can also purchase it from here: http://butters-n-bars.com/

I've ordered cocoa butter from Butters-n-Bars and didn't have a problem. They were prompt.

Careful with the shea butter; a little goes a long way. Recently, I was rushing and put too much shea in my hair...my hair was golden. :ohwell:

Yes - I found mine at Whole Foods. I bought some from a beauty supply store a while back and for some reason it really made my scalp itch. I think some transferred to my lips when I was scratching my head and then applying make up ( I know dumb move :nono:) and my upper lip broke out. So I stop using Shea for a long time until I took a chance on the Whole Foods brand. It works great!

Hate pure raw shea butter. Last night tried for the first time a mixture of "melted" shea butter, castor, avocado, coconut, and I believe safflower oil. Used after my rollerset and results were good.
Would be afraid to use shea butter alone..it makes my hair stiff!

Yes...my hair and body loves shea butter. I usually purchase mine from the African store in my area but since my mother came back from Nigeria a couple of months ago, she brought pounds and pounds of it so I don't have to purchase any for a while :)

I got some from mountainroseherbs.com to try it. I really like it (body and hair) and I mixed it with some essential oils for scent and coconut oil. My 1lb tub is almost gone and its been just month! I will continue to use this during the winter.

 Why, why, OH why my sister  me and my ashy feet could have used that. :lachen::lachen:But seriously I only use it on my hair if it's mixed with something (castor, olive, almond). My hair doesn't like shea or coconut by themselves.

I love it. Bought 5kgs (10+ lbs). I use on hair, skin, lips etc. It's a staple - I have to have it! Bought mine from www.akomaskincare.co.uk but if I buy it again in the UK I'll buy from www.justasoap.co.uk. I plan to visit West Africa sometime soon though, so will be buying directly from the women that make it along with Arican Black Soap.

I love shea butter and I liked the whipped pudding, though I dont' really care for the smell anymore. It's become a bit overwhelming to me.

I used to use it when mixed with an oil. I've found other butters that I can use without having to mix it with another product (i.e., avocado butter). I purchased the unrefined shea butter at a local flea market for $5 for 8 ounces (I didn't think they would sell it at a flea market, but I know someone who shops the flea markets and they let me know. I would've never thought to look there).

I love shea butter, not used it in a while though but it really makes my hair soft when i did use it.

I should really try and incorporate it into my regimen again.

Oh yes! I love it for my skin and hair. For my hair I mix mine with Aloe vera gel and coconut oil. It keeps my hair moisturized and soft all day.:yep:
