naptural85's latest video, "how to get the best twist out on natural hair"

i'm gonna have to try this. i don't wear twist out unless i had mini twists. if my hair comes out like this, this may be an alternative to my braidouts.

diadall please share pics of your finished results
pookaloo83 thanks for sharing the pics. How did you get your edges to lay so smoothly? What method did you use to stretch your hair before this style? What about the style in your siggy, did you stretch your hair first. I'm liking the fullnes and hangtime.

My curls did not make it to show photos. I have it all pulled back in a bun now. I am going to retry tonight. I wonder if my hair is "too soft?"

I just finished watching this video, came here and found this thread. Her hair does look amazing. I have to keep reminding myself that she's been natural for 3 or 4 years. Her hair looks so long!

Yes she has been natural for a while BUT her hair seems to have busted up the growth chart over the past year or so :lick:

and what I like about her regimen is that its so dead simple ... like she basically uses water, oils, ACV and shea butter, along with her flaxseed gel and terressentials.

taking from both her and aliciajames (whose hair has also taken offfff ) the key seems to be to keep the hair in a stretched state, alecia seems to prefer twists and well we know naptural85 varies her styles, but normally keeps her hair stretched

I've noticed a big difference in my hair taking off since I've been keeping my hair stretched. I wish my hair would live Shea butter. But it just doesn't like it at all! And it seems like a lot of hair products have it in there! Coconut oil also! :nono:

I love how thick her hair is. Sigh ......... having fine thin hair.........

Stretching is definitely a key to retaining length. I can't get with the shea butter though, my hair literally hates that stuff. Everytime I try to rediscover it and use it I remember why I stopped. It always leaves my hair greasy no matter how little I use. It just weighs my hair down. :perplexed

Thank you, Auntie!

Her thickness has me beat all day everyday though. It's not fair. ::kicks rock:

I need to get like her. My regimen has gotten dead simple lately so I'm going to need my hair to take off too. I think the only thing that is hindering me is that redo my braids for my braidouts every two days. Sometimes I can stretch to 3 or 4, if I bun but I'm averse to frizz.

OMG, her hair is sick ... SICK I SAY!! Just gorgeous!! :yep:

She has like 4x as much hair as I do. My hair would never look like that in a million years.

<weeps uncontrollably>

Her hair is gorgeous! She's my inspiration to kick heat to the curb for now. Her method also works nicely on my hair when it's been stretched and re-stretched with braids.

@pookaloo83 my hair hates with a passion shea butter BUT it likes avocado butter, which almost has the consistency and non greasiness of coconut oil, wink wink :look:
