Has anyone tried this and how did it come out? Her hair looks very soft 3b/4a to me. I was thinking about having my client do this style for me but I don't want to waste my time if it's not meant for my type of hair. Here is the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruRGEe3DfOY

This actually works, I do this alot! They key is to do it on stretched hair. I don't mist my hair because my hair shrinks, I usually spray my hands and work the moisture into my hair. I use oil or a styling product for hold.

ETA: I guess I could mist my hair if I stretched my twists like she did. I'll try that next time.

I usually wet twist me hair but this morning I did my henna and I'm stretching my hair in a banded ponytail. I was thinking the same thing about the mist, I will twist with styling product hold. Thanks AtlantaJJ and Merry Christmas.

I tried this once and it was awesome. And I have fine to normal strands, 4b 4c type hair. Best twistout I ever had for definition. I even wore it outside on campus with my badass self. Couldn't tell me nuthin' that day.

Next time I do a twistout, it will be using this method. But I haven't done it since because I don't wear my hair out and stick with buns and mini-twists.

Yes it does. I made smaller parts; but the style was very nice and lasted a few days.

I did once and it was beautiful. It only lasts a couple days.

I've never used this method but it looks easy enough and her hair looked great after. I'll probably try it for my next twist out.

Anyone care to describe the method? Can't watch just yet
