BSL! I was so shocked when he said that last night! He was looking at my freshly relaxed hair and he said, "Turn around and let me see your brastrap!" At first, I was like. Then he proceeds to measure it with his fingers and says, "Wow, it's getting so long! You are only a few inches from brastrap length." (which is SOOOO not true!) Then he said, "At this rate, you'll be BSL in no time!" I looked at him like and said, "Did you just say BSL???? I have to tell all of my girls at LHCF!" He laughed at me, but it just goes to show that he is paying attention! What LHCF language has your SO or DH used???

Well Saturday night we were walking from the parking lot to a restaurant and I noticed that his hair had gotten SO LONG. (I'm jealous, by the way) I was so surprised because I just had not noticed how long it had gotten.

It's wavy so I streched it and he is BSL! I told him that he is BSL and he was like "Oh yeah! Make sure you post that on the board so your friends know that!". I was like uh, no that stuff is getting cut ASAP. That TOO LONG for a man.

That is such a cute story, Wishin4BLS. Yes, it means a lot when they notice. But that is incredible that he is actually using the language!

InsatiableMe, my strategy was to gradually tell my husband about the LHCF because I didn't think he'd understand. I though he'd think I was obsessed. So I shared a little about my goals, but otherwise tried to play it cool until he could start seeing the fruits of my efforts. He is really supportive and has even bought me items from my favorite product line. He compliments me often on my growth. The other morning as he watched me style my hair, he even asked me whether I thought my hair was growing.

1. One day I had him taking pics of my hair. I had told him earlier that I wanted to find a job. So while he's taking pics he goes, "Between taking these pictures and buying hair products, your hair care routine IS a job!"

2. I was mixing henna with some other products in the kitchen. He says, "The way you over there beating, I could have sworn you were making cookies."

3. I had to cut my hair Saturday and I'm kinda sad about it. He says, "Don't worry about it, Babe. You horse grease will grow it back." I couldn't help but laugh.

I love the support. It really helps when I feel like my hair is going NO where fast!

My BF doesn't use the lingo because I don't tell him that much about LHCF or so I thought. He knows I spend time on a hair forum (not a clue how much though). He's gone to Miami for 2 weeks so on his 2nd day there he says to me, "I passed some stores with hair stuff you would go wild in." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, I could sense his brain cells engaged into "Oh crap, what have I done?" because I immediately squealed with glee and sent him a list of products to get, mostly oils. We talk the next day and he's like, I can't find these oils anywhere. Poor thing, I know he can't even pronounce some of them because I can't.

The other night, my fella and I were in Walmart doing the weekly shopping. I was in the cleaning products isle and he wandered off. When he came back he said "I went to the hair isle and got the Pantene Relaxed and Natural set I know you wanted. I didn't get the wrap stuff tho cuz I sprayed in on my hand and it was sticky and I know you don't like that."

Anytime my SO sees me going through my hair regimen he says, "You grow girl!" And then proceeds to remind me not to let anything but silk, satin or skin touch the tresses! (like I need a reminder)
