Hi Ladies,

My phonypony arrived yesterday!!!! I ordered the 10 inch Yaki straight one with the Tortoise shell clip. There are pictures in my album. For this style I just wrapped the ponytail around itself in 2 pieces. It is very long for 10 inches, it looks more like 12 or 13, but I haven't measured. Anyway the texture matches my hair perfectly. I love it.

Take a look for yourself.:)

RabiaElaine! I simply love it! :love:You couldn't have gotten a better match. I can't see where your hair ends and the pony begins. I better invest in one of those myself. My braid days are numbered! Beautiful indeed!

@DSD and AJamericanDiva...the texture match is unbelievable. It's not to straight or too shiny so it matches my relaxed hair perfectly. People who don't know me or haven't seen me in a while will not be able to tell. I honestly don't care if people know that I wear different kind of extensions to give my hair a rest...I just don't want it to look obviously fake, if you know what i mean.

The ponytail actually comes with a pocket built in to the middle to stick your hair if it is long. I thought this was a great feature for the long haired ladies on this board so that you don't have to worry about wear to stick all that hair when you wear one of these. This way it is still a protective style because your hair will be completely surrounded by the phonypony hair, as long as you get a length that is a little longer than yours. My hair is short for the time being so I just have it tucked under in a little bun.

In other words, I can put my hair in a bun and the bun won't be visible, right?

Right...or you can slip your entire length through the middle pocket/hole and just let it hang. As long as you get a length that is longer than your own hair, the pony will completely envelop your hair, this way it won't be exposed to the elements or your clothes. The pony is really thick, so i'm sure it will cover your hair if you were to just let it hang.

But to answer your question you could put your hair in a bun and stick it into the middle pocket.

[size=+1]RabiaElaine that looks so pretty. That's how I've been wearing my hair. I have all kind of phony ponies. I wear them over my baggie. I never let them hang...I love the buns you can create with the phonies.
I'm glad you found the perfect match.

Mama just had to ask to be sure. I pretty much stick with totally protective styling, meaning none of my hair is down at all... so this was important to know.

Looks like a perfect match to me! Mine didn't come with a little pocket for my hair, though. I bought mine a year ago.

You can't see where your hair stops and the phonypony begins. It's definitely worth the money. And I agree their length may be longer than advertised. I'd go with the shorter length when buying one. Mine says 12 inches but it appears to be longer than that. It goes half way down my back!

Hey Puddles,

Do you have any pictures of the other styles that you were. I'd love to get some other ideas.

No I don't have any pix. But depending on the texture of the hair...you can find different ways of twisting the hair. And depending on how you twist it you can fasten it with different types of hair clips or scrunchies. I like the wavy hair the best. When I put my hair in a pony it's still wet...so with the grease and gel my hair has waves in it to match the phony pony. I make a bun like the one you made for short hair. I'll have pix soon. I will take some when I retouch and color my hair.
