I've used the Janet New Yaki in 1b and it held up well and this new batch with less coarse texture is holding up as well. I havent used the mink yaki in any color but the 1b/30. I dont know anyone who has used the Janet Remy before. I think it should be fine though. I washed the piece you sent me and it didnt tangle etc.

I sent you an PM, but just in case you did not get it, I wanted to ask about that hisandher 50% mink kinky straight sample you sent me. I just ordered another sample from them in 1b because I love the sample you sent me. If it matched my hair, I would be able to just wash and go w/o using hot styling tools. It sounds too good to be true so I want to know, how did you wear it when you used it.

Hi, for those of you who prefer the wavy sew-in weaves, I wanted to tell y'all about a good weave that I highly recommend, and 2 brands that I would avoid like the plague, and a good "bad weave-saver" in case you happen to have a bad weave on your hair now:

I am really LOVING my Supreme Wet & Wavy French Refined Weave by www.hairfactory.com. It does not tangle, even while washing. I got in the shower and briefly forgot to apply the CON shampoo, the hair STILL didn't tangle. After towel drying I applied a small bit of Optimum Care conditioner, and Paul Mitchell Seal N Shine to the hair and the waves popped right back nice and manageable.

The Brazilian Wave Weave was a good-quality weave for me (from www.superhairfactory.com), but it just got a little TOO wavy for my tastes.

DO NOT buy Milky Way - Wavy Italian Permanent Wave Weave. While not as bad as the Beverly Johnson wavy weave, it was horrible for me in its own right. It tangled at the drop of the hat, not by washing, but just by sitting on my shoulders. It got so tangled that when I brushed the tangles out ever so gently, large clumps of hair came out. I tried my best not to wash it, even CON didn't prevent it from tangling. By the time I had brushed most of the hair out, I found out about using WAVE NUVEAU FINISHING LOTION, and while this cut back on the tangling, there isn't much you can do about BAD HAIR.

Also DO NOT BUY Beverly Johnson Wavy Weave. This stuff lost its waves after 2 days, tangled greatly, got hard, and I eventually had it taken out of my hair and thrown in the garbage.

Hi guys,

I just had to give a review of the hair I am using right now. I decided that I am going to wear sew-ins for a year or so in order to stretch my time between relaxers.

I have struggled to find a good hair that matches my type 4 relaxed hair!!!! :( :perplexed

I have used virgin Indian hair for braids and it great. But, I just can’t blend my hair with it when I wear weaves. It is way too silky and shiny.

I have had 3 sew-in total and here is my review of the hair used:

1st sew-in : I used what the Asian beauty supply owner said was his best hair and it was CRAP! It was the Zury Ultra Yaky in Color #1 / 14 inches. It looked great until I washed it. It tangled like crazy!! I had to carry a brush every where I went. Deep conditioning and moisturizing it helped, but not much. Also, it shedded SO BADLY. I had hair all over the place!

2nd sew-in : I ordered Sensationnel Goddess Yaky Color #1b / 14 inches. This really is good hair. It did not shed AT ALL. The 1b was too brownish/reddish for my hair color, though. Also, this did not match my texture the way I liked. It was too silky and shiny. It did curl very well, though.

3rd (and current) sew-in: I ordered Janet Remy gold, but it did not arrive in time. I was forced to use a ½ lb of hair I bought from HISANDHER.com a few months ago. At 1st I bought the regular Natural Perm straight and it was so ugly, I had to send it back. I got the Natural Perm Straight 50% mink with the regular weft (vs. their micro thin weft) Color #1 / 14 inches. I REALLY LOVE THIS HAIR!! It matches my relaxed hair perfectly and it is not too shiny at all. I just washed it today with Cream of Nature Ultra Moisturizing. I was so scared that this hair was going to tangle up! It did not at all. In fact, it is better than before the wash. After I washed it, I used Keracare Silken Seal and then blow-dried it. I bumped the ends slightly with a curling-iron and it is still beautiful.

My only complaint is the weft. It is too thick, I think. I may try their micro thin weft next time. Also, that was just one wash, I am curious how many washes it can take. But, from my experience with other yaki hair (for braids, as well), this hair definitely gets 5-stars for the money.

I still have that Janet Remy Yaki that is on its way and I will be happy to give a review of that as soon as I try it.

Does anyone else have any other reviews for Yaki textured hair for weaves?

Today I got a sew in with hisandher.com kinky straight in the 50%mink. I used a combination is 1 and 1b because that is how my own hair is colored.

I removed the sew-in that I got 3 weeks ago. It became too hard to match my hair with the Natural Perm Straight.

I loved that hair, for anyone looking for straight.

I have really been in search of a wash and go weave style. This hair did it.

It is VERY VERY kinky and thick, guys. But, it matches my hair perfectly.

She flat ironed everything and made it straight, but she had to use too much products for that. I came home and washed it, with CON ultra-moisturizing, blow-dried it and and moisturized it with Profectiv Break-Free cream. That's all.

Well, I found it to be a little but too thick so I ran the flat iron threw it lightly. It was not a hard press at all. I just did that to flatten my look all together.

I really like this. I feel natural and this makes me love my thick kinker hair even more.

I will try to get pics up tonight or tomorrow.
