I'm easy going.
So I pretty much went from BSL to WL in one year?

Just wanted to show y'all were I was exactly one year ago.

In one year I could have lost some weight, but you know how that goes LOL

JUNE 5TH 2018 I will be three years natural. And 3 years post relaxer.

On the first picture, all the writing was just me taking notes at the time lol

What I believe contributed to this success of retaining every inch (on my 4B hair) in one year is:

Focusing on my goals. In the first picture I was precisly at BSL. So I drew lines and imagined my hair at WL and did all I had to do to get there.

1. I washed my hair every two weeks in twists. I put clips at the end of every twist while washing to prevent tangles.

2. I Deep condition for an hour with a heat cap.

3. I air dry in chunky twists with clips on ends for weight/stretch.

4. I moisture and seal.

5. I twist it and don't comb/detangle it until the next two weeks on wash day.

Retaining is more to do with technique than what products I use.

Here are the simple old school products I use.

I DC with Hollywood Beauty Cholesterol, I moisturize with Care Free Curl Activator, And I seal with BlueMagic grease (I heavily seal my ends with grease). That's it!

This was my hair on July 30th 2017! My goal at this time was to at least reach my first backroll which is near my elbow. My hair was in twists on top of my head.

At this time I was dying to get to WL!!

I took your advice and ran with it!!
Will take pictures of Products later when I get home.
