How did you style her hair when it was only 1 1/2 inch long?I see you used rubber bands but did you simply put rubber bands around it or was it braided?
Hi! I parted her hair in very tiny parts and corn rowed it and put black rubber bands on the ends. It was the only thing I could do. I did that for a few months until I could fit barrettes on them.
Also, please note that I renewed my subscription after 7-8 years of absence because of this thread. I remember when you were relaxed and now wanted to see your natural results. Also, I was the one who initially( I think) proposed the Jheri curl juice challenge years ago to you because I knew you were a regular user( with your funny self!). ...Please don't take that the wrong way,,,,you are the most entertaining one I remember , lol.
Thank you Sugar Pie!Congratulations lovely lady!!!!
I wished you happy birthday @I Am So Blessed today lady but I guess you were not really checking your tags for today and that's okay. It's your birthday. Hope you had a great one today.
Girrrl it was your birthday. You can miss a post or two and is expected. I'm just happy to hear you enjoyed it .Oh my gosh How did i miss this?
Thank you Aggie!! I had a very nice Birthday, one of the best!
Girl... when I tell you my hair has been such a dry disaster that I was going to relax after I had this baby. I live in an insanely dry climate came across your thread the other day and decided to try the curl activator ( I already sealed with blue magic). When I tell you my hair has been moist since Thursday morning (haven't added anything else) I tell no lies. Granted I'm currently not home right now I'm praying this is the case next weekend when I get back. Either way to know I have redemption when I travel is good enough for me and may save me from the creamy crack.
Your hair is absolutely lovely thanks a million times over for sharing.
Thank you I did! I took a week off work lol. Today was my first day back after ten days. And my co-workers sang "Happy Birthday" and my supervisor baked me a huge cheese cake that was out of this world! I finally saw "Black Panther". I bought new clothes and shoes. And got to lay around in my pajamas for a few days. I'll call it a good week lol.Girrrl it was your birthday. You can miss a post or two and is expected. I'm just happy to hear you enjoyed it .
I got on the curl juice bandwagon as well^drools^ your hair is beautiful and I am sooooooooooooo glad you started this thread. Feel free to show us more styles, texture shots, in between styling photos, whatever, please!
Also I think I need to get on the curl activator band wagon. Do you notice any change in your hair’s response to the curl activator during colder weather?
@I Am So Blessed,
Just got all my Blue Magic grease and CFCG sprays and curl activators to last me a few months. My hair is shorter now so they should last hopefully through this coming November. My hair is loving this new regimen.
Oh by the way, I could not find Hollywood Beauty products here in the Bahamas but I ordered my HB cholesterol online from www.pharmapacks.com. Got 3 jars of this since I have a ton of other DCs in my stash to use up.
@I Am So Blessed,
My Pharmapacks order finally arrived so I will be picking up my package from the courier by Saturday the latest I hope.
I know you didn't ask me but I bought them all, the regular and gold lines. They both have a hair spray and a curl activator. Either one you decide to use, the spray is lighter than the curl activator but to me just as effective.Man... I saw this thread had been bumped and was expecting a September reveal!
@I Am So Blessed I have much thinner hair than you will the curl activator spray work better for me than the Gold?
@icsonia22, did you ever try the Queen Helene Cholesterol and if so, how did you find it to work for you?I was in Walmart searching for this thread so I could buy some of the products lol. Tgin honey miracle mask deep conditioner is good but the price is ridiculous. If queen Helene can do the same thing for only $5.22, I'm all for it.
I got on the curl juice bandwagon as well
My twist on it is to layer a leave in conditioner underneath (I try to use glycerin free, if not no biggie), then put the curl juice on top. Sometimes I’ll add a layer of oil on top or butter if I remember. My new growth stays soft all day, sometimes two days in a row. I’m used to spraying daily though lol.

@ItsMeLilLucky,
I tried the bolded after my wash and DC last weekend and it worked swimmingly. Another keeper. I used SSI Cranberry Cream leave-in.
My hair felt silky soft for days. And here I was thinking that this new natural hair journey was gonna be rough. But nope. It's easy as pie.
I only like Inahsi Naturals Aloe and Hibiscus leave-in and any of the leave-ins sold on www.SheScentIt.com. I have tried others but they all left me unimpressed.OK... what's a good cheap leave-in to use?
How cheap is cheap to you?OK... what's a good cheap leave-in to use?
How cheap is cheap to you?
I used to use thisAbout the same as the other products on her list. I don't mind paying more, but I figure if I can get something cheaper that works, go for it!
Yes! The spray is so good and will work. I wish you well! I will do another reveal soon.Man... I saw this thread had been bumped and was expecting a September reveal!

Thank you!! Your hair is awesome I love your hair!How did I miss this thread!! Hey boo your hair is soo fab and grew soo long.
Yeah!! to this whole post! The regimen is a keeper. Grease is the best sealant hands down. I do not grease my scalp, but my ends and strands. Grease holds all that moisture goodness in for a week or more.I know you didn't ask me but I bought them all, the regular and gold lines. They both have a hair spray and a curl activator. Either one you decide to use, the spray is lighter than the curl activator but to me just as effective.
The spray also helps as a curl refresher when I wear my hair in a wash and go - moist shiny hair for days.
The activator is simply a little heavier, wetter, if that makes sense. The grease keeps the hair moisturized a lot longer than any other sealer I've ever used.
This regimen is definitely a keeper for me. I just wished I knew about it from the inception of my hair journey. I would have been a lot richer .
(My two cents) Queen Helen is ok. I think HB is a little better for my hair. I'm also 4B/4C thick stranded w/high-medium density.@icsonia22, did you ever try the Queen Helene Cholesterol and if so, how did you find it to work for you?
Thank you Missy Miss! (What I would have called you in person haha).I surely wish I could use CAG in the colder weather. It is the business for me in the spring/summer.
Your hair is lovely.
