Lol..she just washed her hair and greased and massaged her scalp and bunned..not much else! its kinda funny seeing as i buy all these products but prolly don't even need em that bad!

wow..that first pic of your mom! Her natural hair was soooooo pretty ..the length , thickness & sheen!

And to think her regimen was soo simple ..

I think it's her genes and the protective style (bun) ... back in the day there were no real petroleum FREE pomades or sulfate FREE shampoos .. but I bet that's what she used .. it has to be the genes b/c another sista using that same grease and shampoo might not achieve the same length..some people have more resilient hair ...some more fragile...

Did she press her hair often?

She may not have done much, but she did protective style instinctively.
