Let me start off by saying it was pretty easy to do, but I don’t like it.

I’m getting ready to wash it out and it’s only been 2 days. I don’t feel “cute”. I think the hair is cute but it doesn’t look cute on me.

I saw my ex BF in the store and was ducking and dodging and running folks over with my cart, because I didn’t feel cute and didn’t want him to see me.
laugh.gif
And not to mention, he was with another chick. If my hair was cute, I would have easily strolled over and ran my shopping cart onto his heels.

I’m so terrible!!!

Anyway, I used 36 (3 packs) Conair Spiral Curlers. They were $5.00 per pack at Target and I used Paul Mitchell’s Foaming Pomade. I love this stuff. I will try the foaming pomade again with a roller set. I let my hair air dry over night. It took about 12 hours to dry.

I know, I know, it looks better the older it gets, but I’m not feeling it right now.

I had/would have done the same thing. I think it looks really nice you have great hair.

I think your curls are cute....but I like it where you picked it out best. I use flexi-rods and I don't leave the curls the way they are when you first take them out. I mean it's fine but I don't want to look like Shirley Temple. I usually just use my fingers to pull the curls apart....my flexi-rod sets don't last though.

Thanks Ladies. I am trying to comb them out as we speak, but the curls aren't going anywhere. They are coiled pretty tightly.

There must be so many styles you can create with those curls though. Are you sure you want to wash them out?

Ohhh GIRL! You are too funny!
laugh.gif
I feel the same way, though!
Well, I love the way it looks- Imma run right out and copy you!!
grin.gif

One more thing; were you using something daily to condition?
Oh and one more thing! You slept in them? Was it hard?

I actually LOVE it Kitch.

I useed to get this don occasionally in NY and when I did, the stylist would take each curl that the roid made and seperate it into 4 seperate curls. She didn't use a comb or anything - just made 4 identical curls to each one that was originally created by the roller.

I liked it much more once that was done. I always hated it coming right out of rollers.

Did you part your hair any kind of way? If I would have known how cute this style came out on you I would have bought flexi-rods at the store instead of opting for perm rods. I might have to try this...very beautiful!

Girl, you are too funny kit

Your hair looks great

I think that as they relax and drop that your hair will look all carefree and sexy.

Thanks ladies

Carlie - I just don't like the super curliness. I think it would look nice pinned up or with a head band/scarf. I think I just like straight hair (with some curl)better.

Mermaid - Yeah, let us know how they turn out. I only had them in a couple of days and I used WGO on my scalp and oil sheen for my hair. The foaming pomade gave me a nice sheen, because it has some oil in it. My curls weren't crisp at all. Very soft and easy to comb.
smile.gif
They were a little hard to sleep in, but not as bad as magnetic rollers. I didn't sleep on a pillow.

Lovelymissyoli - I used a rat tail comb to part my hair in 4 sections then I clipped them with a butterfly clip. I then used the rat tail comb to part each section for the flexi rods.

Tonya - Yeah, I tried separating them, but most of them would spring back. I think I'll try larger flexis next time, but I'll have to replenish the "hair fund". Those flexis set me back a few dollars.
ohwell.gif
I may try to sell them or I may try to straigten them out and take them back
laugh.gif

This is cute. I need to move to Atlanta.. we can open a shop and do this. Finger this out some more and it will be slammin. It's cute.

Again, your hair is so shiney. I love it.
lachen70.gif
oH yeah, rolling of the heels of an ex boyfriend is always something that will warm your heart.
lachen70.gif

I think it's really cute. If you're not really comfortable wearing them down, try a loose updo, that would be really cute too.

It's cute, if nothing else it could be salvaged as an updo and it would really look hot. Then you could really floss in front of your ex-boo
laugh.gif

Do Not COMB THEM!!! Seperate them with your fingers, if you comb you'll have a big poof on your hands. And like everyone says they do look better after a few days.

But I know exactly how you feel, I got my hair done like this the day before college graduation and I felt sooooo uncute! And then my non-fian's sis, who was graduating too had just went to Luisa's and got a Dominican Blow Out so I was feeling like
antlers.gif
esp. since you know your hair shrinks up so much
nono.gif

I think they look great, but I love big arse hair though too
grin.gif
. I predict a flexirod pony premiering on me this fall
smile.gif
!

I think the curls came out cute.
smile.gif
If you want to loosen them, I'd use fingers instead of a comb or pick. Or put them up in a ponytail or a loose curly updo.

Thank goodness i read thru this thread b4 posting
laugh.gif
I was going to say the same thing. The way mine were separting, the stylist put polisher on her fingers and sepearated them to keep them from 'separating' from the separation
laugh.gif
That was too funny...
