Flexi Rod Setting Question

Okay, I know this may be a dumb question, but I have to ask it anyway. I'm SO late to flexi rods (the long rubbery bendable rods), but I wanted to try them. I've done a set on my dry hair and it came out pretty. I want to do a set on my wet hair. I wanted to know if you can sit under a dryer to dry a set or do you have to airdry them? I don't want the heat to burn or melt the material around the flexi rod. TIA!
