My First Pibbs experience!!!

Okay, it came yesterday and I wouldn't wait to use it! It's SO easy to assemble. I was on the phone with Santia while I turned it on. It was so quiet, she couldn't even hear it over the phone- it's THAT quiet. I washed my hair using the SO SEXY poo and dish (I mixed it some Kera Care Humecto) for the 1st time (it is very perfumy when you put it on, but when you wash it out, it's not bad if you rinse well). I turned that baby to 70, to see how hot it gets, and set it for 20 minutes. It get's so hot! I washed out and put it into a ponytail (using elasta QP mango butter and fantasia gel- clear) and wrapped it tightly and sat under the drier for 10 minutes. My hair came out SO pretty!! I took a pic, I will post later. I LOVE MY PIBBS :yep:

ETA: Oh, and I named him too! His name is ONYX!

dang! im jealous. how long would you say it takes to dry your whole head of hair completely? and is it small enough to store away in a closet? does it take up a lot of room? and which one did you get (the 512 or 514)? i HAVE to get this dryer now, cause i broke my gold nhot this past weekend   (im happy though, gives me an excuse to order the pibbs)

1. I'll be able to tell you tomorrow because I'll do a rollerset tonight.
2. Yes, I'll be putting mine in my walkin closet in my bedroom. You can push it down to make it short (about 4 feet tall) and put it in a closet. (the wheels span about 18inches) or you can just take it apart and box it up after each use, it's only 1 screw to take apart.
3. Nope, it doesn't take up a lot of room
4. I got the 514
It's the best investment I've made, I love it!

Yeah it's true!!! I put her through several tests too :lachen: Stand right next to it (couldn't hear it) Sit under it (still couldn't hear it) I was like well damn put the phone on top of the hood :lachen: and still didn't hear anything. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY BABY!!!!!!

OHHHHHHHHH, exciting.

Well I got mine yesterday too, but haven't used it. My visor was broken and Tony is sending me out a replacement one.

My hubby put mine together and I have all my parts, etc. and he turned it on and it works. All is functioning, just need that darn visor.

Ladies, if for some reason your visors cracks or breaks - it can be replaced, just contact Tony. It only requires two screws.

QUESTIONS:

So, MtAiryHoney - it gets really HOT on 70? Did you use your hairnet that came with it? Were you ears or neck burning? When setting the timer, do have to let it run out or can you stop it any time?

Why am I such a slave to fashion (even if it's hair fashion)? I want in

I saw the Pibbs thread, but for some reason didn't give it much thought.:ohwell: Finally read and saw pictures...didn't realize we could purchase a salon dryer so reasonably.

My question now, is, can I still get in on the deal :yep: or was that offer a limited time offer?

The deal is good through January 31. You can't beat the price with shipping included.

Yes! I had to turn it down to like 50 after about 5 minutes under there because it was scorching! LOL I turned it up so high because I wanted to see how how it would get while I was under there, now I know. I felt like I was in the desert with no water! My ears didn't burn, they were hot, but not unbearablely hot. My neck wasn't burning, but it was hot and the chain on my neck got hot too LOL No, you don't have to let it run out, you can just turn the dial back to 0 time and it'll turn off.

Now, here's my question to you, now that you know it's in working order and you only need the visor, why don't you try it out today?? I bet it will work all around your head even without the visor. Or, you can hang a towel in the front. *peer pressure* C'mon, try it... LOL

Are you sure I don't need the visor part to be effective? What does the visor actually do for you? Ok you don't have to pressure me anymore - maybe I will - I do want to see how hot it gets also I want to make sure it's ok. Nothing else appeared to be wrong with it.

At the very least, try to DC with it, just to experience it. You may not be dried even all around if you did a rollerset or something, but you can DC with it. You have lots of room in there, just put your head closer to the back of it while your head is in there.
