Last month... :look: Last month... :look: And youre JUST now giving us a review?? just kidding!

Ive never used Mizani before so Im excited to use it! :D

Oh, I am so sorry ladies but I must tell you that although I've been a member for almost year I rarely came here before and when I did I would just lurk for a few minutes. I just recently started coming here a couple of weeks ago again. I went through a break for a year to grow my hair out from a Halle cut to a little below shoulder length now. I wore a weave during that time. I waited to come back to this board after I had my weave taken out lol. That's when I got the Mizani put in. I had not had a relaxer for the entire time I wore a weave so it was so nice to have it on my 'virgin' hair. I really like it but I'm not sure if it's that much different from any other relaxer or if it reacted so well because my hair was 'virginal'. I'll see after using it a couple more times.

I hope you ladies get to try it soon!

I tried it and I really like it. It is very moisturizing, and doesn't leave your har thin and stripped. My hair was heavy, shiny, and smooth. I would def recommend this product. Oh, and your hair smells nice afterwards, not that nasty permed smell.

I used it this past weekend. Overall I like it, I especially like the two part neutralizing. The relaxer didn't burn much but my hair was too straight. That is my fault I forgot it was a regular and not a mild strength (which I usually use). I bought the trial kit, and I used up everything but the spray used last. I don't know if I will repurchase, only because it is expensive.

Over all my hair is shiny and soft. And it doesn't have that just relaxed feel that I hate. If I use it again, I will leave it on for less time.

I used this relaxer this weekend. My hair came out nice considering the length of my hair is damanged from no-lye relaxers. The roots of my hair where the Mizani butter blend was applied feels soft and smooth. It didn't burn my scalp, it didn't have that nasty relaxer chemical smell and it didn't make my hair feel dry at all. In fact the roots of my hair feel moisturized, while the rest of the strand feels dry.

I will definitely use this relaxer again. I used up most of the treatments that were included with this trial pack. All I have left is the relaxer, I think it was 12oz worth, but everthing else was 2oz worth so they went quickly. I will buy the full size treatments included w/ this next time.

What I loved was the neutrililzing conditioner and the shampoo neutrilizer. They didn't feel drying at all. The micro fusion spray was nice as well.

I am sneaking closer and closer to this system!! Trying to make my final decision before my trip. IF I relax/texlax, I will do so on Nov 21 or 22. I will be about 7 months post by that time. Any tips or suggestions from anyone that has stretched that long?

I ordered this from Paynesbeautysupply.com and will be using this system for the first time this weekend.
ooooh please be sure and post your results!

ETA:

I saw your results...I should have scrolled down. Very intersting. I am so torn with this lye no lye thing. I have an Afirm FiberGuard no lye mild because my stylist ensured me that it was the most gentle relaxer for fine hair soft hair. I wonder if that's true...or if this relaxer would do the trick...

My stylist uses this relaxer on me but I don't REALLY love it. It's just like the regular Mizani to me..not bad at all but nothing special. It just smells good...lol. I'm looking to use Affirm or Phyto and looking for a stylist who uses those or will go to the Aveda Salon.

ETA* I once posted that I loved this relaxer but after having it in twice I really have changed my mind about it. Again, it isn't horrible but it's not good enough for me to say I will stick with it:nono:.

I'm glad you like it. Thanks for posting your review.

I put this on a friends hair, and she liked it, not loved it. It does smell nice that's for sure, but it's not like "I have to have it"...it's just like a regular Mizani relaxer. Her hair was soft and shiny, but then again, her hair usually is when a relaxer is done right. I think I will stick with my Profective and added oils. I'm in college, $50 a pop application is too pricey for me.

I got a 30oz. tub of this off e-bay for $18,i think. I know it was't over $20 before s&h.
I can't wait to use it:yep:
They also have the other treatments that come in the kit for sale individually on e-bay. How do they work? Should i get them or am i not missing out on anything?

I LOVE THIS RELAXER. Its not drying at all....very moisturizing to my hair. It does smell very yummy. My hair comes out great - soft, silky, shiny and smooth.

tried this...love it:drunk: this is now my staple relaxer! result pics in fotki:yep:

love the hair care concept of this relaxer.
