Mega Church Pastor comes out

This is going to mislead a lot of people. Since he is giving the illusion that people are born homosexuals, people are not going to address the real issue at hand.

We may as well 'brace' ourselves, for a lot more is coming to the surface.

God has already said that He is purging His Church. As sad as it is to hear of these things, we have to also thank God for opening our eyes to see what's been hiding. If it's no secret to God, therefore, it shall be no secret to those who truly follow Him.

"For there is nothing hid which shall not be manifested, neither is anything kept secret but that it should come abroad." (Mark 4:22)

God is now exposing them 'ALL', the hiding is simply over. NO longer will they be allowed to use the Church incorrectly.

What people have to be aware of is that this man and others like him are not God's representation of His Church. These are the counterfeits. This man, as have many others, have used the pulpit to mislead and misguide far too many 'trusting people' who truly want to live right for God.

There is no one more loving and trusting than those who love and follow God. So often, more times than not, we chose NOT to judge or to think badly of a person. And it for this reason, why so many of these preachers have been able to 'hide' behind the pulpit.

When Christians are accused by outsiders of being judgmental, intolerant, etc, etc, etc, they can be no further from the truth. I cannot think of any one group of people who are so loving and accepting. It's the rare 'few' that give the impression otherwise. And it is because of our love, God is stepping in to open our eyes to those who are deceiving those who have trusted them.

I pray for this man's salvation, his true salvation. I also pray that he will not be allowed, to misrepresent the True Word of God any further. Proof of his counterfeit is that he has not either read nor has he believed that in the Word of God, homosexuality is not an excusable sin. There is no free pass written in the Word. However, it has been nailed to the Cross and it is by THIS choice that he can go to Jesus and allowed himself to be delivered.

This man cannot lie and blame God for his sexual mis-identity. But he can thank God for the redemption of it and be set free.

No more lies.... :nono:

wow, just wow......she had children by this man? Was he actively gay? Having sex with other men, impregnating his wife for @
21 years...smh

Im glad stuff is hitting the fans honestly. This will help people to stop throwing God under the bus.Im not perfect and know my flaws well.I wouldn't dare touch the pulpit until those issues where checked and mate from God.IMHO alot of these self proclaimed superstars are just rejects of the world.See most people want to be popular and seen thus they try in the world and failed did have the it factor ie body, money, sex game, image etc, so they go to the church where they can be seen and are popular.Thats why the black straight man in the church is so sought after and why his word is treated like the darn gospel. And why so many black women fall prey to the stupidity disease so they can hold on to a little piece of man and his body members..

I'm happy for him. He's faced his reality and can go from there. But, how is he presently living his life? Whether one has heterosexual unmarried sex or homosexual sex as their lifestyle and is in a leadership role as a pastor is the issue. If he's not engaging, I don't see why he should not continue to pastor. He knows what's scriptural.

A lot of people still do not comprehend sexual orientation. They think that simply having the makeup of such a person is the evil and that you are unclean, disgusting, all manners of harshness. I ask you, if every person is a sexual being, are you unclean before you fornicate? Hopefully, the church can learn to love and respect the dignity of all human beings.

When we have churches full of women (of course, men) who have had children out of wedlock and men who jump from bed to bed, drug abusers, thieves, liars, all sorts of evil-doers, somehow it's easier to attack the gay folks just because they aren't them. It's HOW you live your life that counts. Every single person has a predispostion to....xyz - to something. It is kept secret until G-d brings it to light. IMHO, it's better to know yourself to be whole but I wouldn't suggest he continue to pastor if he is going to fornicate and live openly this way. It's part of the 10 Commandments. He will most likely have to bear this cross for the rest of his life. My heart goes out to him and to all who are truthful with themselves and find themselves being unjustly treated.

From my experience and others, I'll just say that whatever reason he has those feelings, HE DID NOT ASK FOR IT but there they are. It's sometimes the reality of being a flawed being. If he's been honest with God and is continually asking God to help him not to act upon his flesh and is sanctified daily and walks with God with a pure heart....then what else can we say. Most importantly, if he's been CALLED by God to this ministry, he would be disobedient to God by stepping down...Hopefully that is the case and God led him to reveal this to his congregation...if not, HE alone will strike him down from the pulpit. It's all in God's hands.

I'm also happy for him, but only because he came clean and has made a step to free himself from the bondage of that sin. Homosexuality isn't the ONLY sin, but it is still a sin. it is an abomination to the Lord -- those are God's words, not mine.

I can only imagine how hard it is to struggle with this sin, but I believe it can be overcome. Donnie McClurkin is a fine example of Redemption from homosexuality. I have struggled with other sins, that I've turned away from and experienced the great sense of relief that comes with it when I finally came clean. Repentance can never come before confession, so for this pastor, it took 20 years! I believe his confession will benefit his membership greatly, as he is now an example.

I sure wish folks would stop judging the state of Georgia; don't forget Satan and his Legion have certain strongholds in certain areas...homosexuality is a stronghold in Georgia, New York, California. Ask yourself, what's the Stronghold that Legion has in YOUR Region? If it's not homosexuality, it is certainly something else. It's not about Georgia, it's about the spiritual warfare we are engaged in.

Just an FYI, a church in Atlanta had a Peace Walk in the streets this past weekend, against prostitution and child abuse. Surprise, surprise, that's not in the news...
I'm hoping other churches in other parts of the country are fighting back as well. Don't people see this as time to fight the devil and stop playing church? -- To face the iniquity passed on to each of us from our mothers (Psalms 51), the sins that have been passing on from generation to generation? It's time to break these generational curses and finally tell Satan enough is enough. I won't allow Satan to pass lasciviousness, gambling, drinking, smoking, whoring by me.... (the iniquities in both my families). It stops with ME. If you believe you don't have any iniquity to deal with, like this pastor did, you may want to ask God for help in identifying them so that you, too can be finally become free.

:yep:

ETA: To be clear: I am NOT in support of a gay minister leading a congregation. As this isn't hearsay and a real confession, I agree that he isn't qualified to lead/teach.

Bondage of "that sin." Being gay or having sex outside marriage? I'm not sinning because of my orientation. But if I fornicate, then I'm surely sinning, whether heterosexually or homosexually. The abomination is sodomy. I don't do that and I don't think he does either.

I can not open the site. What is the name of the pastor?

I am glad he is able to speak his truth. I also know that a lot of women accept having a bisexual man over no man at all.

You have to read this. And rejoice knowing our God is an awesome God.

With all the unseemly and sordid stories we have to report on about those who have blackened gospel music, thank God for this courageous young man who gives God the glory for leading him out of homosexuality. Atlanta based singer/songwriter B. David shared his story with Christianity Today International and it is indeed riveting.

“When Christian music veteran Ray Boltz released a statement saying he was gay last fall, the announcement sent tidal waves of disbelief through the CCM world, shocking longtime listeners with his assertion, “If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I’m going to live.” The news prompted hundreds of related articles, messageboard threads and forum discussions on the topic of homosexuality and the church.

Gospel/worship artist B. David, whose own history of homosexuality and spiritual downward spiral hit rock bottom in 1997—which he calls “the worst year of my life”—shares in Boltz’ candidness, but not his convictions. “Some say, ‘I was born this way,’ and I don’t deny that at all. We are all born into sin,” he explains. “But we have a Savior.? There would be no reason for Jesus Christ if we were all OK.”

Presenting an alternative perspective of change through his own testimony of grace, the now-married father of three suggests, “The only way to break through this stuff is for people to expose themselves openly in front of congregations and in their spheres of influence.”

Realizing his own “sphere of influence” would greatly expand this year with the launch of his national recording debut, Life Journal, B. David remembers thinking, I’m starting to tell my testimony. People are really going to know who I am and what I am dealing with, alluding to the 6,000-plus congregants at Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church in Atlanta, where B. David serves as head worship leader. “But I have to be willing to [share my testimony] because my heart is for people to be free. My heart is for people to get more of God.”

I totally share the hopes of his heart. People need to be free and freedom comes only when God’s truth is brought center stage. Read the entire story here. B. David below singing “Believe”. I hope that B. David’s testimony and courage will jump start inspiration in other gospel artists to tell the truth about where God has brought them from. People really need to know and see this much more often. There is no overcoming in silence. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Perhaps some people are "freed" from a homosexual tendency but the vast majority are not. They are still in G-d's church and are His children. From my own church's perspective, this is what they conclude, backed by scripture:

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who
experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the
same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in
different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained.
Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of
grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are
intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close
the sexual act to the gift of life.
They do not proceed from a genuine affective
and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is
not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes
for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and
sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be
avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if
they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the
difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery
that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested
friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and
resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Gen. 19:1-29
Rom. 1:24-27
1 Cor. 6:10
1 Tim. 1:10

Please note that what is considered is the ongoing nature. There is no such thing mentioned as "casting homosexual demons" but there is very much a mandate to treat all persons with respect, compassion and love. It mentions that it is often a trial, meaning that it is ongoing. I keep saying it but I think it's falling on deaf ears...WE DO NOT CHOOSE. How would a child choose such an orientation? That is to be distinguished from those who have been abused by others such as women in bad marriages who experiment with another woman in a lesbian relationship or boys who were raped and/or coerced or abused and later wonder about their own sexuality. It could have been influenced by the abuse.

But, perhaps, the tendency was always there. The important thing to remember here is that actions are stressed. We are all sexual human beings. Anything that does not fall into the natural order leading to the production of new life is the problem. Why G-d allows it to exist? I don't know. But He has one approved way for sex and most of the world's population has failed it miserably, either through heterosexual or homosexual acts. The desire remains. Kudos to those who claim healing. I don't necessarily struggle as some others do but I do recognize that it's there, verified by actions in the past. I don't have a demon in me and am not an abomination against G-d simply by being who I am. Freedom is in Christ but the freedom lies in your actions. It doesn't mean that, if you are LGBT, you are doomed to hell simply by existing. Not at all. Freedom also means DOING what it is that G-d requires of you. One could apply that to the heterosexual persons of high libido. It's called "control."

Incidentally, I've been corrected to know that our church doesn't label anyone heterosexual or homosexual as to put limits on their being according to one aspect of their makeup. It calls all to chastity, even those in marriage.
