May 2011...What Did YOU Buy This Week?? (Hair Care Edition)

I picked up KeraCare Natural Textures Twist & Define cream. I used it last night and took some photos.

It's okay, but I need to find a way to make it not so drying...maybe a leave-in underneath.

I also picked up Shea Moisture Curl Defining Smoothie, which I used on my ss hair. It just sat on top of his hair, 4b, and I ended up washing it out.

E.V.A. Hair Revolution Unbreakable Hair - Shampoo and Conditioner 1L each for $9.99

I think this is a great find at Ross. The shampoo was great, really creamy and lathered well. Left my hair feeling moisturize. The conditioner immediately continued the moisturizaton and soften my hair wtih noticeable less hairs as I smoothed it through. Currently steaming with the conditioner further with additinal argan oil. I hope it rinses well for tomorrow's styling of a tuck n roll...

The only thing I've purchased this month is Alaffia Hair Moisturizing Lotion. I love this stuff :Rose::Rose::Rose:.

Taliah Waajid curly curl cream. I haven't tried it yet but I hope its something like shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie cream.

LOL

I did buy today Dudleys PCA Moisture Retainer, I will be picking up some Hair One Moisture Spray.

Seems Henna is definitely drying me out some and I need a good Leave in that isn't Protein. My house is full of protein. Which isn't bad but this Henna is doing a number on my hair's moisture levels. I do DC for a long time, but I need more I guess.

Queen Helene -- Curl Shaping Creme from their new Royal Curl line. The texture looks similar to KCCC but it's only $8 for 15 oz! It is scented, smells like candy.

Anyone else tried the Royal Curl products? Whole Foods is carrying this line. I saw a couple of threads on NC about it.

ETA: I usually don't fool with glycerin but I'm a PJ and summer's coming so we'll see what happens

After I get my pedicure at JC Penny's I always look and see what's new in hair products. They are now carrying Bamboo products, so since I had a $10 off coupon I purchased some Bamboo Kendi Intense Moisture Masque.
It normally cost $24, but I only paid $14 for it. I'll post a review once I use it.
