May 2010.....What Did YOU Buy this Week???..(Hair Care Edition)

Skala Jaborandi Conditioner
Skala Cermacides G3 Conditioner
Queen Helene's Cholesterol Hair Treatment Creme
Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Conditioner

.....and that's about it. I've only tried the Skala G3 Conditioner of those so far, and it was heaven! :heart2:

After this past week I promised myself not to buy anything else this month, I have been getting a package nearly everyday the last 2 weeks! On this week, I bought:

Giovanni NutraFix
Giovanni Direct Leave-In
Hairveda Sitrinillah
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque
Curls Creme Brule
SheaMoisture Conditioning Curl&Style Milk
Carol's Daughter Koret Amen Herbal Shampoo
Yes to Cucumbers Conditioner

I have been searching for the best deep conditioner and leave-in on earth so I hope something does the trick lol

Hmmm. . . So it seems Skala is the bandwagon of the moment. Guess I need to read that long thread.

I purchased Pantene's new curly line Deep Conditioner. It's a good drug store buy!

Bain de terre detangling leave in---- it sucks. Will be returning it.
Some shampoo that I don't know the name of-- it sucks. Will be returning this too.
Joico K-Pak Shampoo and Conditioner Duo for $17. Can't beat that. It rocks. I hadn't used the shampoo in a while, but it's much better than I remember it to be, and the whole line smells like a tropical vacation. It's to die for. I can't stop playing with my hair now. It's so smooth.

I was a kid in a candy store this morning, LOL! I got salon sizes

*Alter Ego Nourishing Impac Ego garlic conditioner
*Pelomas Suela-Canela & Rosemary Treatment
*Baba De Caracol
*Salerm Brushing
*Moska Oil
*Cinnamon Oil

I bought Lustasilks Shea Butter Cholesterol and some Ouchless ponytailers :)....does anybody else have a solution for me to stop buying these ponytailers bc after a few uses the part where to two ends of the thing is glued together...the elastic gets stretched out and i have to buy more.

I don't even do tight ponytails or buns...just snug ones.

That's why I didn't replace them. I threw mine out.

I was extremely bad this month.

2 HV Acai Condish
5 Skala G3 Condish
5 Skala G3 masque-swapped 2
5 Skala SB condish
5 Skala AV masque- swapped 3
2 Flexi 8
Still upset SSI didn't come out with the new Condish too.

I'm going on a self-imposed no buy ANYTHING for the next 2 months (I think) I went and spent over $100 in clothes and still haven't gotten summer shoes.

Alot of Label.M products and Roland mousse for rollersetting. I am itching to try the Intensive mask, BUT I just rollerset/blow out last night.

I like the blowout spray on clients, but it doesn't cut it on thicker hair.
The thickening cream is very lovely.

More roundbrushes, carbon combs

I caved, DC with the Label.M intensive mask on dry hair (still didn't get the steamer yet.....). I decided to because the girl who gave me a blow out last night burned my scalp w/the heat a couple of times. I coconut oiled my scalp last night, but now I have justification to DC. I have to say it is creamy on my hands - really creamy and moisturizing.

the bottle is SMALL, and although I received a really big prof. discount, this is def. a treat and something I would use sparingly. The smell is amazing.

3 skala fruit cocktail masques
4 skala shea butter masques
4 skala aloe vera masques
2 skala aloe vera conditioners
4 skala shea butter conditioners

Wow, written out like that, that seems like so much product, lol. I had to remind myself for a second there it's only a dollar each. >.<

also, ORS conditioner and Queen Helene's Cholesterol......definitely regretting the Queen Helene's purchase.....wish I could return!

Silk Amino Acid
Cassia
Henna (Nupur Godrej 9 Herbs) <-- tried today, LOVED

Elasta QP Mango Butter and Olive Oil Moisturizer
2 VO5 conditioners

Hemp oil
Castor oil

ORS edge tamer
Indian remy kinky straight weave
Africa's Best braid spray

Two Babyliss flat irons - one from marshall's, one from tj maxx. Did I need both? Of course not, but I'm just discovering "hi-tech" flat irons and you can only go so far with internet research before you need to get the hands on and see for yourself. These were cheap enough for me to experiment with.

The ceramic one works well. I haven't tested the titatium yet but out of the box it looks like the better quality instrument. It has the actual degree settings on the heat dial whereas the ceramic just has numbers 1-25. And I can see the tourmaline "glitter" in the plates.
