Maxiglide: Yay or Nay?

My maxiglide is upstairs in a closet somewhere collecting dust.

When I first got mine this summer I hated it. the teeth broke my hair off and i put it up for sale. then when I could not get my investment back, I decided to make it work. I made some ballsy changes in my regimen and now I ABSLUTELY LOVE IT. I don't use the teeth, but the steam feature is awesome.

the reason it didn;t work for me before is that despite hours of dc'ing and conditioning, my hair was POROUS. Now that I have introduced more protein, my hair is on point.

I use as final press after my pressing comb.

i"m buying a maxiglide in a couple of months
i like the idea of steam and think it'll be very beneficial
i wonder if i can buy one on here hmmm

I have a maxiglide u don't need to turn the heat all the way up, and if u use he plates with the teeth ur not supposed to clamp it tight like a regular flat iron. Best iron I've had so far. Jmo

After all of these years Im still in love with my Maxiglide and its still in good shape surprisingly! Very durable.

I really like my MG. I hate the MiniG. But do we know if the steam feature is better for our hair than regular flat irons?

I didn't like Maxiglide. I bought a CHI though and I love it.
