Major Setback! I need a healing inside and out!

This was a horrible thing that happened to you...sending out positive energy right now! Everyone has given excellent advice up to now...I hope that you are emotionally beginning to heal because that too has a lot to do with your overall well-being, including your hair. You are truly a STRONG woman...and still you rise!

I am SO sorry that this happened to you. You are definitely in my prayers. I'm glad that you are able to post after that.

I too agree that you should get a wig or half wig, and do scalp massages w/essential oils. Also, keep up with deep conditioning and moisturizing. Your hair is fragile now, so it needs extra TLC.

Please let us know if they catch that lowlife. :blowkiss:
 
Oh Lord, I'm so terribly pained to hear this! I hate it when people prey on others, no matter the motive or reason. I am praying for you. As for hair, the other ladies have offered wonderful advice. It may be best to get a style like braids, a wig, or twists to give your hair a rest, because that whole ordeal along with the involvement of law enforcement can be intensely stressful, which can cause shedding. I would put my hair "away" for a while as I try to get my mind, heart, and thoughts together. I would be absolutely devastated and angry if it were me...and anytime I get that way my hair is gonna start shedding really bad! {HUGS} We are here for you!
 
wow, i thank the Lord that you are okay! I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Its scary how things like this happen, wish it didnt, but unfortunately it does.

Thx so much ladies for all of the positive thoughts. Ive been surrounding myself with the people and love and care for me most. I am truely blessed to be here and that my biggest concern aside from them catching the jerk is my hair growth. I actually had bought hair to make a quick weave wig but if got lost in the scuffle. I plan to get a wig or 2 next pay day.

Your hair will recover as the ladies have mentioned. Please seek therapy as soon as it's possible. I'm more concerned about your heart, mind, and spirit. Everything else will fall in its place when ready.
 
OMG...I'm so sorry you had to go through that horrific experience. I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through. My thoughts are with you.
 
That is awful! Please take care of yourself. Re: hair- maybe a half wig while you take care of your hair with washes, DC's and head massages?.

Thanking God that you physically survived your ordeal. Don't you worry God's justice ("vengeance is mine") will prevail so whoever did this to you will get what is due them. I will pray for you.

On another note, I wouldn't BC until the spots start to fill in where the hair was ripped from the scalp. You should go into pampering mode with low manipulation to give your scalp time to recover from the trauma.
 
Moriahar, I am so sorry you were harmed. I pray you are well and glad you are surrounded by those who love you. The criminal has hurt you and stolen much from you but do not allow your Spirit to suffer the same. You are beautiful-healing will come from the inside out:love5:. Be safe but not afraid to live your life.
 
I am thankful to God that you are alive after that. Hair grows back. You are alive. Praise Him.

Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry!! I can't even imagine.
I'm so glad that you are alive!!! My advice for you is to get counseling. I think that you should give it a few days and assess the damage to your hair and scalp. If you think BCing is the right thing to do, then I say go for it.

So sorry to hear this! I want to add my prayers for you as well, May God heal you thoroughly inside & out! And I hope they catch this jerk...:mad:

The oil mix worked for me, in addition to rosemary I also used sage plus the rest of the ingredients CaliDiamond mentioned. Be well :)

My heart goes out to you. I can't even imagine what you had to go through, but I am so glad that you made it through. Be blessed sister & I think a wig will suffice until your hair grows back. Take care of yourself mentally & physically.
 
Are you kidding me?! I'm so sorry you went through this but am glad you made it through alive. I pray for your mental and physical recovery.

For your hair, I'd think hiding it with wigs or weaves for a long period of time would be best.

As for your hair, I would recommend doing a lot of deep conditioning and maybe a few protein treatments to strengthen the hair.
