Hi LD,

I got the same MSM as you but I think you've been on it a little longer. How's your results.

I think the guy is having a sale unitl October 31st. I was considering getting more at the reduced price.

Let us know:confused:

Hey AtlantaJJ, what brand are you taking? I'm thinking of trying another brand (I take Jarrow Formulas) because I read some where that it's good to switch brands every now & then. :)

Yeah, $29.95 is reasonable.....I paid $23.75 for 1lb of Jarrow Formulas MSM and that was on sale. :)
I wonder if they have powder instead of flakes? **off to research**

Let us know what you find....I read another post about adding it to shampoos, conditioners and facial cleansing products. They said it is fabulous. I guess the powder would dissolve better than the flakes using it that way, and in the drinks.

The the thing that was impressive to me about this product is that it was not from a synthetic source like some of the products on the market.

I visited the web site, but they don't carry it in powder form.....I guess I'll try the crystals. Have you started taking it yet? Do you put it in juice?

I'm here I'm here. I've been off it for about a week but for the past 2 days I've been back on it. Must be still working throughout anyway because I'm getting the toxin out through the skin in the form of a few spots. That hair it's hard to tell as I rebraided it about a week or so ago. But I do notice that the hair is much thicker and there are a lot of waves and ripples. My hair is still a 4B (or in my case (4Z) so no change in the texture per sé.

How's it going for you?

I recently have added MSM to my supplement regimen. For the last couple of weeks I was taking the Natrol capsules. I didn't have any of the headaches or breakouts but I figured this was because I'm pretty good at drinking lots of water.
Then I read that the powder was better so I bought the Trimedica powder and had my first 1/4 teaspoon last night. I woke up at 3 in the morning with one of the worst headaches of my life! :( It was so bad it hurt to even lay my head down. I took some exedrin with a couple glasses of water and waited half and hour til the pain subsided enough for me to be able to fall back asleep.

Can you have a reaction that quickly?! I'm so afraid to try a second dose!

Atlanta are you getting any MSM related headaches? I for one am not which is a good thing. I can load up on this MSM without that nasty bitter taste the lignisul one had and don't get the headaches either. I even put about an 1/8 teaspoon in my tea :look:

Humm...if this one doesnt have the bitter taste I would be willing to pay the price. I normally just add to water but I have to be careful about how much I use. How much do you normally add to water?

This is just a suggestion, but why don't you try taking your dose in the morning instead, and begin drinking your water immediately following. I take 5g with no problems, but I take my full dose around 8 in the morning, and I guzzle at least 1.5 liters of water before noon. I had that headache you're talking about on the first day because I did not know how important the water was, and yeah, it'll wake you in the middle of the night like a brain tumor or something.

With this MSM I can add up to 1/3 heaped teaspoon to a 50cl size bottle of mineral water.

What the hell is cl in bottle size anyway. It's the lil Evian Bottle size.

Thanks, I 'll try this! And you are right to compare it to a brain tumor cause its that bad! I was freaking wondering if I needed medical attention until I remembered taking the MSM.

I'll definitley do the morning dose and step up the water intake.

I wonder is these are as good as the ones I have been using. About 2 weeks ago, I started taking Dr. Jacob's MSM crystals. I have been taking "MSM" for about 8 months and I have not seen the kinds of changes in my body like I have in the past few weeks.

I am not sure what it is about the crystals but they are so much better. The Dr. Jacob's is just so expensive. :(

I take 2 teaspoons a day. I doubted them at first because they don't dissolve at fast as the powder, but my skin and hair are the true storytellers. I am 2 weeks 2 days post relaxer and tonight I shampooed. To my surprise, I have more newgrowth than normal but the curl pattern is not as tight. It is more wavy.

Also, my skin is just glowing. I want to buy more!!

I don't get headaches at all ever! I just got some zits because I slacked off my water, someone told me to put it in my face wash and it will clear them right up.

I'm thinking I might not switch to a cheaper brand because this one isn't giving me any bad reactions other than the zits which were my bad really, I was slacking this week!

I was just thinking - My faster growth may be a result of the Herbs and Sulfur pomade from Qhemet and not the MSM. :scratchch

Heck, I don't know. Whatever is going on, I like it. :D

JLove's MSM by Jarrow is a GO!

I'm getting this instead!!

I'm going crazy, I just did a search on my favorite site for regualr suplements and found out they are having a sale on Jarrow MSM Sulfur Powder!! 200 gr = $7.40 - the good thing about this site is they charge a flat fee shipping price of $4.95 no matter what you order!! period. I've ordered a 7 lb jug of Isopure protein powder and got it shipped to my door for $4.95 AND it was on sale on top of that !!

Oooh, I love Qhelmet Sidr Tree, I didn't know they had a sulfur pomade...I guess I could make my own if I put a little MSM powder in there... hmmm

I am considering ordering the Herbs and Sulfur pomade....you know all of Qhemet's products contain MSM.
How often do you apply the pomade to your scalp? I'm wondering if it will clog my pores or something.

I received my sample pack order of Qhemet's olive detangler, honeybush hair tea soft gel, the amla and olive thick cream and honey/olive hydrating balm....I really like everything except the thick cream (the jury's still out on the thick cream, I'm going to try it on my daughter's hair and check out the results) so I'll be getting more of the others in the larger containers. :yep:
