i was deep conditioning and i usually walk around the house with a plastic cap for hours cuz im to lazy to wash the conditioner out right away any who she said

"if u leave the conditioner on ur hair to long its gonna make the roots so soft that is gonna fall out" and she was serious

this is coming from a woman that permed my hair wen i was 5, said it was hard, and everytime my hair would grow back to apl a weel after she would break it off to sl smh

Actually, there is a such thing as over conditioned/moisturized which can lead to breakage. Don't be so quick to blow others off.

lol, my friends said that to me as well and my hair has grown while theirs has stayed the same. Matter fact I need to get back on my co-washing/deep conditioning game.
